Well I picked 80-84 without said upgrade.

Of course nothing would make me happier than to see all the questionable pieces fit together with the Sox making it to the series in October.

I just don't see it happening.

The fact that Jacko agrees with you tells you all you need to know about your projection NB.

I was thinking the same thing.

Seeing what Yankees fans think about something is often a good way to gauge the correctness of one's opinion.

It scares me when they agree with me.

It's not too far off from the consensus. I just don't think a rotation with someone so unpredictable as Buchholtz as a number 2 pitcher stands a chance to do anything better.

Wasn't he the number 2 in 2013? (No one expected Lackey to do what he did, and when healthy, he wa lights out). Maybe E-Rod is the next 2013 Lackey.

I would take Lackey on our team this year any day.

Yes, he is older and looks like a f***ing dufuss.

Aside from when Buch pitches to his potential, Lackey would be the second best pitcher on the team.

Our rotation just sucks pond water. No way around it.

I think our rotation has great potential. But, it's a shot in the dark if they'll do well past Price.

Price, Buchholz (while he's healthy), E-Rod will be fine. How much mileage they can get out of Porcello's comeback and Buch's apparent health is the key here.

85-89. Still I do not see enough pitching to be a real contender, but hopefully they make a move at some point.

Not quite a "division title" prediction.

90ish, AL East champs, host CLE/HOU in Game 1

Not too shabby, my young friend. Didn't see Texas winning the West though.

I spoke twice. Combine the two and I essentially said 80-86 games without an upgrade to the rotation.

Of course this was before Wright was aces for 15 or so games, and Pom was traded for.

I'm very glad to see that things have been working out for the better.

I see no reason why the Sox can't win the East and get to the LCS.

Anything can happen.

That's what I said in another thread! And I bet it comes back to bite them in the ass in the playoffs.

Hell, they got to play the Angels and Oakland and Seattle and Houston most of their games.......

I'd like to see them come over to the ALE and see how their 1 run game luck went.....

they aren't as good as they look in the W/L column....

Any team that is 36-10, now 36-11, in one run games is not as good as they look in the W-L column.

My man Pythagoras says that they are a 77-76 team, roughly .500.

They are an incredible 13 games over that mark.

Remember when Fangraphs predicted 92 wins for the Sox and everyone said they were whack?

After being badly wrong the last 2 years they were due. :D

Haha. True.

Like me. I'm almost always optimistic in my predictions. Sooner or later, I'll be right. ;)

Sort of like me. I may not always be right, but I am never wrong!:P

What i remember most was one outfit suggesting a 20 game differential to pick form. Wasn't it 78-98? thought that was a tad on the cautious side.
