New Road Jerseys!

Glad they went back to the red lettering. I wasn't too pleased when we went to the blue "Boston" on the road jersey in 2009.

 

Now if they can ditch the red alternates for '75 throwbacks, it'll be perfect.

The red ones are almost as bad as the st Patrick's day greens. I'd like it if we just went back to the pre '09 road jerseys with the red lining on the sleeves and pants.

I don't like these. I think that font or whatever only works on the word Red Sox. On anything else it just looks weird. I really like the old away jerseys that were grey with simple dark blue block letters. Red on gray also looks stupid.

 

and get rid of the all blue away jerseys, those things like jerseys from a poor high school baseball team

We're not the Blue Sox, we're the Red Sox. I loved the old away jereys---RED dominated and when they went to those ugly ones in 2009 I was royally pissed. It looked like those old tops from the 50's and 60's when the Sox mostly sucked. Come to think of it, we blew the division in 2009, was plagued with injuries in 2010, collapsed in 2011 and descended to the bottom of the out house in 2012. That along with having that jonah Heidi Watney part of the Sox was like getting a basketful of number 13's. I like going back to Red.

Better with red logo than blue. But I still prefer Red Sox logo for both home and away. Some teams do that.

 

What pisses me off is when those TV announcers say Boston vs the Yankees. The two team city stuff is a bunch of crap. It's the Red Sox vs the Yankees.

Solid choice. I have lived through both road uniforms (in 1986 it was also navy and gray) ... these are better.

I can't believe it took them 5 full seasons to correct this mistake. I know uniforms shouldn't matter, but it adds an element to watching the game when the uniform is sharp. This is why I am fully against advertising on uniforms.

That's what I'd like to see added to the home jerseys. I can't remember when they junked those two stripes but it was long before I came on board in 2000.

My vote is grey with navy blue block lettering. If it was good enoough for Ted Williams, it's good enough for now.

All I can say is that we're the RED Sox and that means RED, our main color. I liked the old roadies, circa 1992-2009. They had the deep red that I love. These new road unies look fine to me.

What I dislike is the hanging red testicle socks logo, and I especially don't like that it takes over the entire sleeve. The team is identified on the front of the jersey, and on the cap, it doesn't also need to be identified on the sleeve.

They need to bring back the red, white and blue socks rather than the all red. That looks crappy and too much like the Cincinnati Reds!
