I’m so old that I saw him play toward the end of the ‘54 season when he had just signed as a “Bonus Baby”. My dad and I always watched pregame practice and I noticed this new kid shagging fly. Baseball is still the greatest game man invented. You can be fast/slow, strong/weak, short/tall, thin/fat, etc. People in today’s culture want blood & guts but football is on the down slide. Most round ball stars are very tall compared to the average guy. There was nothing like going to a big league game and seeing that luscious green grass in April and then get home and have a make-believe game against the front door steps afterwards!

You don’t want Allen lost 3-4 miles off fastball. Guardians fans had to sweat every game he entered. Made no effort to re-sign him.

I do not believe the commissioner or MLB has the legal right to make a team change it's logo or name.

Being a traditionalist, 154 games make more sense. There probably can be more evenly divided than by a divisor of 162. Of course, if the owners have to give up revenue with the loss of 8 games.... Weather too cold in April in northern cities.
