J_E I feel really bad for you, but I just can't help but laugh at your rants. You have the best insults. And this s***** offense needs to stop starting tomorrow. They need to shownup tomorrow, this is ridiculous.

I'm sure we'll be fine. People give all the credit in the world to the Detroit pitchers but neglect to mention that we have some pretty good arms of our own. Lester can handle their lineup and once he does, it's game 6 in Boston. No matter what happens tomorrow, Detroit still has to walk into our house and beat us there to move on.

Detroit's pitching is great, but the numbers they are putting up are insane. Should not be happening with one of the best offenses in the league and in the ALCS.

Then it's still worthless imo. Remember how earlier in the season we would get a shitload of baserunners, but couldn't hit with RISP? Same thing here.

If they were held to 2 hits, I 'd be panicking, but 10 hits today is a start. Now win tomorrow and game 6 at home.

I'm sorry but when I go through the trouble of writing an optimistic paragraph, your job is to sit there and agree with it goddamnit! We'll be fine because I say we'll be fine! You understand!?

Please take this only half seriously and read it in an angry southern accent.

Was stuck at work all night so I missed Peavy s***ing the bed... really surprised he sucked so bad. He's been a warrior and figured he would be geared up to go deep into this game. As others have noted though, it's a best of three now with two in the Fens. I like our chances and I think we win tomorrow against Sanchez. He won't no hit us like game 1. Our bats are waking up and Lester is going to toss a f***ing gem.... just feel it's in the air.

Sox in 6 is still my prediction. Win tomorrow. That's all that matters.

If Xander is on the bench tomorrow I am going to go crazy.

I take it you want Xander in for Middlebrooks; what about Drew? He hasn't hit worth s*** in this series and by now everyone has to know that he can't hit lefthanders with a paddle. Give Xander a shot, I'm fine with that, but Middlebrooks has gotten some good wood in the series while Drew, though fielding very well, hasn't done anything with the bat and Farrell refused to pinch hit for him. Besides, after the playoffs are over Drew is gone while WMB will be with us and we don't have to risk tearing the hell out of his morale. There is a delicate balance there.

I'm channeling the movie 'the hangover' on this one:

What do tigers dream of, when they take a little tiger snooze?

Do they dream of mauling Peavy, or K-ing Napoli swinging out his shoes?

Well don't you worry your silly striped heads, we're gonna take it back to fenway and we'll make you s*** the bed

Then we're gonna K your guy on steroid drugs, and we're gonna take this series from you bankrupt detroit thugs

Yeah that's all I got...

Tigers has lit up Peavy since he came to the AL, to a 6.00ERA and that rise with this outing.

Let's regroup and beat Sanchez tomorrow.

Well Stat, we can get the job done if Jon Lester pitches the type of game Lackey hurled yesterday, that and if Papi stops trying to pull every damn pitch and tries to use the other side of the wide open field, if Pedroia will stop swinging at s*** pitches and zero dead red on strikes, if Victorino stops fishing for changeup on the outside corner and off the plate, if Ellsbury can continue his hitting and fine some teammates to drive him in. If we can get those things we can win the game.

That only happens BTR if we play a helluva lot better than we play tonight and are able to get all those base runners home, at least half of those we left stranded on the plains.

There are definitely positives to be taken from this game, from a Red Sox's standpoint. One bad inning when the starting pitcher couldn't throw strikes did them in, but for much of the night the Red Sox's hitters were putting together far better ABs than he had at any previous point in this series. As a matter of fact, I'd say, on the whole, the Sox put together better ABs than the Tigers. It didn't manifest itself onto the scoreboard, but it should bode well for the remainder of the series.

Whoever wins game 5 is in the drivers seat. Tomorrows game is the key to the series. We will have a very hard time beating both Scherzer and Verlander; they will have a very hard time winning both of those games as well. Its on the line tomorrow.

Big game tonight. Lester pitched pretty well in game 1, so I'm confident he can outperform Sanchez. That had to be a fluke. No way he can do that again.
