I'm feeling the RSFFL mojo today and for the rest of the weekend.

It's gonna happen.

I agree, but you must use my perfect GT names for the Dodgers series.

No Bogaerts tonight.

Awesome. Bogaerts vs RHP. Drew vs LHP.

So good.

What the f***... I really don't understand what Farrell is thinking sometimes.

Posted
Farrell said he wasn't going to play him everyday...

But Xander hits LHP better, and Drew hits RHP better, and they knew about the pitching change last night before the game.

Posted
Pedroia need a big game. He has it in him. That 1 RBI in the last 2 week out the 3 hole is beyond disgusting.

He's been leading off innings a lot.

Farrell claims that the reason he did not bring Ueh instead of Vellareal last night was because he had double switched and the pitchers spot was coming up the next inning if there was a next inning. Fine, if that is the case, then you are f***ed. Either you take your chances with Frankie, bring in somebody other than Vellareal or bring in Ueh for the one out and take your chances with somebody else later on. But bringing in Vellareal there made no sense and if I felt I was stuck with even Frankle vs Vellareal, I would have stayed with Frankie. More importantly, Ferrell boxed himself into this corner by using Workman the night before in a 7-1 game. So no matter how you slice it, the way Ferrell is using the pen has been and is deadly.

In my view, Farrell plans out his everyday players and his pen for a game and does not deviate from the plan. If he has planned to use Workman the night before, did not matter that he was up 7-1. Workman was commin' in. Farrell IMO simply does not react well to in game situations. In fact I don't think he reacts to them at all. He builds a plan before the game even starts and sticks to it come hell or high water.

Frankly boxed like that with the pen...Farrell's only real choice was to have gotten one more inning out of Peavy! Did you read Peavy's lips coming out last night "you have got to be f***ing kidding me".

Why by the way was Drew not bunting when he came up late with Ross on second and no outs? That 3rd run would have very likely sealed the game away. I hate giving up outs early in games. But late like that you have to get that guy home...you have to and if you have to give up outs to do it....fine.

I'm sad they changed the pitching matchup tonight.. I was really looking forward to Chad "gropes women in hospitals when drunk" Gaudin

Either way you have:

On a side note, this is what I imagine Chad Gaudin looks like when he's not playing baseball:

Maybe the race is getting to Farrell. He did some nonsensical things last night. Not platooning at SS is more nonsense.

You keep piling up bad decisions, you don't make the playoffs. Maybe Farrell needs a few days off.

As Tito used to say, the game started getting fast. Maybe Farrell can't keep up.
