Pleasant surprise to see we had a day game and that we destroyed San Fran. WMB's OPS is .714, up quite a bit since he came back up.

It'll be one hell of a statement when we walk into Chavez Ravine and sweep LA this weekend. ;)

Yep, and we could've have been riding your mojo when we do it. RSFFL is fine too, but he isn't going to use by awesome GT names.

VA hater. Chill out. Have you been drinking or something? LOL LOL:D
No, not at all. If you could read the post without your bias, you would realize that I am agreeing with you, hence the winky smiley. I thought that Koji should have pitched last night too. I was mocking those who would characterize mild criticism like this as Farrell hate. Not directed at you at all. Sorry if you took it the wrong way, but sometimes I think you are intent on taking my posts the wrong way. Just sayin...

It's just insane how the Rays and yankmees score so little but always have these ninth inning heroics and usually win by one run. Frigging Rays slept all game and are now threatening in the ninth.

Orioles win. Whats up with the Orioles crowd doing the retarded "Ooooh ooohhooh oohh ohh" White Stripes chant like the stupid Miami Heat fans did during the Finals?

I think almost 50% of all fan bases do that now.

True - although Ryu's excellence should be tempered a bit - terrific pitcher's park. We're a good team - and the "take a ton of pitches" AL approach is always an adjustment for NL teams

We lucked out in missing Grienke and Kershaw. I'd say that Friday and Sunday's pitching matchups are in our favor.

CARL. GOOD TO SEE YOU.

Seriously though. Where you been?

Posted

But yeah - Ryu has been extremely hittable in interleague games. 4.10 ERA in IL games, and the Orioles smoked him for 5 ER in 6 IP.

Add to the fact that now we have a decent lineup that should be able to hit LHP, with Ross, Bogaerts, a white hot Middlebrooks, Gomes, Victorino, and maybe even Napoli will swing, and we could well sweep the Dodgers.

But I'd be happy with 2/3.

We also missed Matt Cain in the Giants series. He's pitching tonight.

Missed Bumgarner too. So in back-to-back series we missed the best starters. Can't ask for more than that.

You could argue that Ryu is among LA's best. He's 11-4 with a 2.95 ERA. And a lefty.

Screw him. What a jackass.

Carl Crawford wants to beat the Red Sox 'bad'

August 22, 2013 09:30 PM

By Peter Abraham, Globe Staff

LOS ANGELES — Carl Crawford, one of the players the Red Sox traded to the Dodgers a year ago, continues to be critical of his time in Boston, something he has done several times this season.

"That was just a bad experience," Crawford told the Los Angeles Times. "I definitely felt like I had a chance to get a fresh start. With a new team, new atmosphere, new environment.”

Crawford has blamed the atmosphere in Boston and even the media for his hitting .260 with a low .711 OPS over parts of two seasons with the Sox after accepting a seven-year, $142 million free agent contract.

"I want to win all three games. Bad," Crawford said of this weekend's series against the Sox.

Now a leadoff hitter after recovering from elbow surgery, Crawford has played only 88 of 127 games this season, hitting .288. He rarely steals bases (11) or hits home runs (5) anymore, and is signed for four more years at $82.5 million.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly is taking a less combative approach to the series.

"I think it'll be fun to play them," he told reporters in Miami. "They're a good club and they're playing good. The better teams continue to force you to be better. I look forward to it a little bit."

He was the reason why he sucked at the plate, not the atmosphere. If anything, the atmosphere is worse in LA.

f*** Carl Crawford. He comes here on a huge contract and then completely sucks ass and then he can't even admit it was his own damn fault. The fans here gave him more than enough time to get together but he's too much of a fragile pansy to have gotten his s*** together in Boston. I hope that f***wad enjoys us destroying his new club's ass this weekend.

^^^ 100% agree

Carl Crawford has to be one of the most annoying players ever to wear a Sox uniform. The f***er literally KILLED us every time he played us while with the Rays, he was a pain in the ass his whole career. Then, he ends up joining the Sox and I was actually pretty excited, he was a great player with the Rays and most importantly, we wouldn't have to face him anymore, than he blows ass with the Sox and blames it on everything but himself.

f*** Carl Crawford.

Not Carl's fault. Tom Yawkey's ghost just ruined every chance he had to succeed.

I'll probably miss the first game of this series, but hopefully will catch the others. I still can't believe that Gonzalez/Crawford era actually existed here. I'll likely never experience such crap the rest of the time I am alive. They better win 2 of 3. Screw the Dodgers.
