Three quality starts in a row for Lester. That is good news for the Sox. As far as tomorrow goes the Sox need to stay patient with Price and drive the pitch count up. The problem on Wednesday was he threw so many strikes he was always ahead in the counts. If he does that again then it will be really hard to beat him.

If Price pitches the way he did last week, not much to debate. But it's hard for anybody to do that. Red Sox just need to be patient. For all the hand wringing about the starters - the pitching has actually been pretty good during this stretch. It could be better sure, but the Red Sox have been good enough to hang if their offense were able to scrap the way they normally do.

Well on TV he looked damn good. When he got in trouble in the sixth and seventh inning, he quickly got out of trouble. The game was televised on TBS and on WEEI which I got on my computer. He looked good on both. Now you or someone else tell me this: How do we beat Price tomorrow?

Doubront faced Price last week, and we saw how that one went. I'd rather have Doubront match up against somehow who doesn't have a 50/50 chance of shutting out the Sox.

Yes, but the A's are in the lead. I thought the Red Sox were 3rd on the list and Orioles were 4th. At least as of yesterday afternoon.

 

Edit: Then again before I went to be I read something about the White Sox wanting Sonny Gray (the pitcher I wanted us to draft but went to Oakland with the pick before us when we got Matt Barnes) and Addison Russell and Oakland telling Chicago to go f*** themselves.
