Here is what you asked:

Lackey: declined for years -- Check. His Numbers stabilized--Check. No suspicion-- check.

Wells: declined for years -- check. Numbers stabilized -- check. No suspicion -- arguable, but nothing tangible, check.

Beltre: declined for years -- check. Numbers stabilized -- check. No suspicion-- I forgot about his 45 HR season, no check.

Crawford: declined for years -- check. Numbers stabilized -- check. No suspicion -- check.

Players don't decline linearly like Texeira has. There are usually plenty of ups and downs, and numbers don't completely start to plummet until the end of their career. You're saying that at the age of 28, Texeira started a downward spiral, which I do not agree with, and we should probably agree to disagree on.

Lackey had Tommy John Surgery, Crawford had Tommy John Surgery, Beltre had bone spurs removed. Those players clearly declined due to injury, and then played better when they were healthy. That's not the case with Texeira.

And I hope you don't mean Vernon Wells. He hasn't been hitting at all since April and has a .318 wOBA on the year.

It wasn't always this way, but I've definitely worked to try to keep it to baseball over the last year or two. But then again, the first two months of the Sox season have made it pretty easy
We kept it to baseball during a tough off season too, but good baseball certainly makes it easier.

I'm not the type to sound pessimistic, but I doubt it. Our best pitcher isn't facing them and we're just the Rangers bitch. They constantly whoop our ass.
I hate facing these guys. It has been ugly the last few years.

Very true. We are going pretty good right now, so this series will be a test as to whether we can compete with the Rangers or not.

I'm not sure about the first one but I'm optimistic about the last 2. Gonna be interesting series.

Yuck, I'd rather face Yu Darvish than Derek Holland.
