Really good to have Clay back out there. He had some command issues the first 2 inning, but it is expected since it's been 10 days to tonight since he last pitch.

Are you okay jacko? post if you're okay.

He claimed he was leaving after the Iglesias home run, and then he continued to view the thread for another hour waiting and hoping the Yankees would give him a reason to talk trash. Better luck next time, Jackass.

He made a post in this GT. It was stupid though, which is unsurprising

He made multiple posts saying how Buchholz wasn't pitching well and how Iglesias only hits against the Yankees. You know, his typical whiny drivel.

I'm talking about Divinity, not Jacko. The only reason you can tell the two apart is because Jacko can actually form a coherent sentence. (Albeit with some text speak, which is extremely annoying)

They all look the same to me. It's tough to tell them apart with their beady eyes.

I will refrain from dancing on the Yankees grave until they are further behind than 2 games . It is a bitter lesson that I earned by living in NY my entire life. They have played much better than anyone had expected as have the Sox. The smoke is clearing for the Yanks and their mirrors are shattering, but they are starting to. I don't get their stars back. Granderson will return next and then Jeter. I'd like to bury them 10 deeep before the ASB. I don't like them hanging around in striking distance.

It happened earlier this season against us by Bartolo Colon. Although that game he pitched 7 innings and got the CGSO.

I asked because Breslow was announced as the next pitcher, and supposedly "threw 4 pitches" according to one of the ESPN announcers, although that was probably in the BP.

Rain delay shorted games are always offering statistical craziness. A complete game shutout that wasn't a QS, for example:lol:

Based on the Red Sox last year, Tex and Youk this series, and about a thousand other examples, I think it's pretty clear that players returning from injury do not often return to their career numbers very quickly at all. They often struggle as much/more than their replacement counterparts, at least initially.

Teixeira is a "star" in name only. He's been regressing for years and sucked the big one last season (by 1B standards.)

He does still play very good defense, and hit a ton of bombs. I'd agree that he's not a star anymore, but he was still a solid player last year.

I understand all that, but it is easy to be cocky from behind a keyboard when you live in Boston. I live among the vermin and I have too often seen limping wounded dying Yankee teams come back to life to beat better Red Sox teams than this 2013 team. As we sit and debate the merits of getting Cliff Lee versus sacrificing our furture, thos SOBs may come in scoop him up and then never miss a beat next year or in the foreseeble future. I will play the safe course and wait for them to be placed on a ventilator before I unleash my rath, but when I do, oit will be extremely brutal.

24 homers is a ton of bombs for a 1B? News to me.

Meh. 116 wRC+ last year, AL League average 1B was 110 wRC+.

He was only slightly better than league average.
