And we get it, you're a smart ass.

The ratio of smart to ass is still yet to be determined.

50-50. Although if we're speaking on strict physical terms it'd be 100-0

That at bat by Iggy reminded me of the at bat of Nick Green in August of 09 against Fuentes and the Angels when he took a tough 3-2 strike pitch to take a walk and push across the tying run w 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. Then I think it was Alex Gonzalez who blooped a pitch down the LF line for the game winner.

That was a good game. Today was better.

Totally Twilight Zone series ends with a totally Twilight Zone game. Tito probably does think that starting with 2011, this place has got it in for him.

Not only does he have the 9th inning to look back on but the play at 2nd in the 7th. Bourn did look safe on that play. Tito does not even get to really argue it as Fenway strikes up God Bless America and everything stops. By the time it is over the wind is even out of Bourn's sails and there is no arguing left to be done.

Want an even bigger twilight zone moment?

1 year ago today, Salty hit the 2 run walk off bomb off Fernando Rodney!

Just the fact that all four of these games were played and played to completion was something of a surprise. Don't know how many members actually live in New England but an hour north of Fenway, where I am, it rained really the entire four days. Did mostly in Mass. as well. Rained for the most part around the ballgames. Finally let up at least here this morning. But was raining up till 7:00 AM steady and then on and off till about 10:00 AM even today.

Wasn't that like one of two home runs and the only walk-off of any type Rodney allowed last season?

Yup. And I remember Salty spouting off about looking fastball every pitch and got one he could handle.

The next day he came up with another chance in the 9th and was fed about 5 changeups and that's it.

We get to skip Hamels (and obviously Halladay) in our 4 game series vs. Philly. We still have to face Lee.

But then again the way our lineup can make mediocre pitchers look like CY Young candidates you never know what will happen. At least Utley will also be out.

Haha, that's such a Salty thing to do. He's the worst.

Meanwhile in Pawtucket, Bradley is 1-2 with a walk and is now hitting .348.

My guess is that they let Carp play LF at Fenway, then after Aceves starts Tuesday and they go on the road, they option Aceves and call up Bradley to play LF or RF and let Nava play the other.

They go to NY after Philly, so I would expect Bradley to play LF there, as he did very well out there in the opening series.

Rodney and Jim Johnson are both s***ing themselves in spectacular fashion this year.

It's a good feeling. A true honor I might add.

I see you still feel the honor 24 hours later.

Johnsonn's killing my fantasy team, but i have a hell of a lot more confidence in him rebounding than Rodney.

BTR still beats everyone.

True. BTR rocks! But 2 come from behind victories.... Not too shabby!!!!

And with Aceves going tomorrow, we need all of the MOJO we can get!!! :D

Goddamn right he does. You just earned yourself a seat at my round table.

What's this round table you speak of?

Is he skipping his start or just pushing it back a day or two?

Looks like he's skipping it. Dempster's still on Tuesday against Cliff Lee.

It's my understanding that he's only going to miss 1-2 days, not a full turn, so probably pitching against the Phillies.

Though if he is on the bump on Thursday, I'd rather have him throw Friday in NY.

Yeah, I believe CC's going on Friday.

The ump is going to get a lot of flack for this though a lot of questionable ball strike calls in that inning

Yep, the Guardians got hosed by the ump frankly most of the day.

Is this guy a rookie ump?
