That would be great if we were talking about pitchers.

Honestly I feel like for this game, and many other Sox losses, that while we lose the game by 1-2 runs, we leave the game feeling like we lost by 10.

I had no clue the Sox had lost this game. I thought the game was nine innings long, not five.

Honestly I don't think Felix has settled as much as he is getting a ton of help from the Cleveland hitters today. If all they did was stand there in the batters box they would have about four more walks this game.

He's getting ahead lately and making them chase. That's just pitching

Isn't getting hitters to swing at stuff slightly out of the zone what pitching is all about? His breaking stuff has good movement today, and his location has been decent overall. Let's not try to reinvent the wheel here.

Some of the stuff they are swinging at is way out of the zone...and early in counts for that matter

and they were doing it right when it looked like Felix was trying to walk the bases loaded

Doubront's line doesn't look so bad. Ellsbury's dropped ball lead to two unearned runs. And if not for the Ellsbury double play, we'd probably be up 2-1.

Ells is absolutely the goat thus far.

By the way Gammons has an awesome article up today on front shoulder injuries and how it affects hitters much more than people think, he cites Ells Kemp and Gonzo. Very good read.

That's because Doubront has great movement on his pitches. That cutter has been nasty today.

Hittings for both teams complaining like crazy when none of them really have much to complain about today. Cleveland's hitters appear to have forgotten what a strike looks like as they are busily hacking away and just about every time a Sox player has complained the pitch tracker has supported the home plate ump.

Like I said...I really don't think Felix has settled that much

Only two of the runs are earned. Had it not been for the Ellsbury miscue, he'd be rolling on a 6 IP, 2 R outing.

Swinging at junk is only half the help Cleveland's hitters have given Felix today. The other half is all the pitches up and pretty much middle of the plate that they have just flat missed. Felix has been up in the zone all day long and Cleveland's hitters have little to show for it.

Not sure why Ellsbury's running there other than to pad his stats. It's a three run game and now Nava doesn't have a wide open right side of the infield to hit through.
