I won't even know how to act if the Red Sox whoop the Yankees ass when I go to Fenway in July. I'm going to harass the s*** out of Yankees fans. I had a blast laughing/harassing Yankees fans at the sports bar tonight.

Good for you!

Andrew Miller has been dangerous the last two games. No control over his pitches at all.

Miller is who he is----a guy with a live arm but no mechanics, no smarts and questionable guts. He has failed every place he's been and to me the guy is a time bomb. The sooner we can bury him in the bullpen for mop up work the better we'll be.

f*** you Aceves

I said exactly the same thing when Wells hit that three run job off of that *******. He and Miller could be shaping up as the weak links to our bullpen even though f*** You Aceves can pitch well occasionally. Miller I have no confidence in at all.

He'll be alright. He has a bad flu, but no pneumonia. They sent him home with tami-flu.

Glad to hear your son is ok Ted. I got a little worried when you said you had to take him to the hospital. Now you can look after your boy and still enjoy what happened on the ballfield tonight even if Miserable Miller and f*** You Aceves (that's for you irotiz. That's his name from now on) tried to spoil things for us.

So, apparently this series was a must-win. Is it now a must-sweep?

A MUST sweep? Maybe not Palodios but it would make a real statement for us not to have a letdown and keep playing solid baseball for the hat trick. I just think no matter how good or bad the Yankees may be, when the Red Sox beat them the team just seems to grow in confidence. No reason why we shouldn't get that hat trick tomorrow. Just hope Dempster pitches like Dempster and not Dumpster.

Salty, Ells, Pedro, JBJ, Victor & Iggy carrying the offense to 15 runs and a 2-0 start! Ellsbury & Pedro you expect to be forces, but who saw this production coming from the rest mentioned over Middlebrooks, Napoli & Gomes.

I missed the first 6 innings because I was at the ER with my son who got sent to the hospital from work.

How did Buchholz look? In the inning that I saw, he was pitching at a very labored pace. he needs to quicken the pace like Lester did on Monday to be consistently successful.

I like that Iglesias is making "egg shell skull" Drew irrelevant. He is a waste of $9 million.

JBJ still looking refined and patient.

Aceves reminds me too much of 2012l.

Vernon Wells hit Ace like he used to hit Beckett.

Hope your Son is ok Ted.

Regards!

Sorry guys. I figured someone else would have carried the game-thread torch, and I never considered the 'mojo' issue. My bad! Thanks for the consideration. Glad we won.

I work grave-yards. I was sleeping all day, didn't check Talksox or Twitter or anything as I knew I couldn't watch the game until like 2am, and I didn't want to see the score as it would ruin watching the game on MLB.tv afterwards.

Good outing from Clay. Our first HR still up for grabs...Napoli needs to put his big-boy pants on. Otherwise, Aceves is meh - Hanrahan looks good (other than being Joba-like in his lack of conditioning lol...but at least doesn't have the same mustache.

Hope BornToRun kept everyone laughing while enjoying the victory.

Hey, it's all good because the Sox won. If they had lost, well... :(

We learned last year that Dempster does very well against NL lineups. He'll be fine against the No-show Yankees.

My concern though is Pettite. He was decent last year, and is the only Yankees starter that has been consistently good against the Sox.

I do understand the concern - but...

The Sox have an outrageously good lineup vs LHP, with Pedrioa, Victorino, Gomes, Middlebrooks, Napoli, and Ross.

And these guys hit him well too -

Pedroia: 9/40 (.225, not good), but he's got 4 2B,

Victorino: 5/9, 1 HR

Gomes: 8/22 (.364 average), 1 HR, 7 RBI

WMB: No Appearances

Napoli: 6/12 (.500), 1 2B

Ross: 4/12, 1 2B, 1 3B

Others:

Ellsbury is 8/20 against him

Bradley and Iglesias obviously have no appearances.

Either way, the guys we have in our lineup tonight have some good success against Pettitte.

Oh - and for all those people who say "You are what your record says you are"

This team, right now, is the best team in the AL East and is a top 3 team in the AL.

So SFF did the Post have a photo of Girardi and his goffy ears wondering what the hell his going to do next?

Last year, the Red Sox did not win their 2nd game until April 13th, the 7th game of the year.

The Sox weren't 2 games over .500 until May 30th.

In 2011, the Sox did not win their 2nd game until April 10th, the 9th game of the season.

They weren't 2 games over .500 until May 18th.

I know it's early. I know it's 2 games. But who cares. I am loving this team right now.

I hope that didn't come across as cocky. I'm just enjoying the moment.

It was directed at Sox fans in general including myself. It's natural to feel good about the first two games and to look at the Yankees as a bad team right now.
