Enjoying a group of players who look like the grinding type. Everyone seems to care, which wasn't apparent in the last couple seasons.

There seems to be a natural offensive chemistry happening...Wait til Napoli and WMB start hitting!

The sox filled the gap with good clubhouse guys. This team is playing way over its head right now and it will eventually hit a dry spell and all this enthusiasm will dry up. I seem to remember a few yrs back when the Dodgers started out 13-2 and everyone was all on their jock. They ended up under .500 and missed the PO's by 15 games. It's a marathon, not a sprint

I am not so sure the Sox are playing over their heads as much as they are playing a team that is downright abysmal at the moment. Without yet another in a long line of Aceves meatballs, the Yanks would likely have put up another 2 spot last night.

no its not playing way over its head.. its just playing a s***** AAA team at best. seems like its hard for you to digest that fact.

Or maybe the team is better than you think they are. Maybe Lester and Buchholz will throw to their career norms, not their aberration. Maybe Victorino will do the same. Maybe Bradley and the defense in the OF will save quite a few runs.

Nah, that's impossible. The Red Sox aren't allowed to be good.

We learned last year that Dempster does very well against NL lineups. He'll be fine against the No-show Yankees.

He should be fine against the No-show Yankees???? Does that mean you are predicting a win tonight Pal? Notice in my post that you answered that I said "there is no reason why we shouldn't take the hat trick"-----kind of a very luke warm and dishwateryprediction of a win tonight on my part. Unlike the last two games when I came right out and said we win today and tonight, I'm kind of up in the air about the game this evening even though I think we ought to win. So I'll let you predict for both of us tonight.

Personally I say let's not get too cocky...we need to play another good game tonight to win.

Amen to that Bellhorn. We had better not get too cocky; after all it is only the first two games and 3-0 sounds a helluva lot better than 2-1. We most certainly have to play another good game tonight if we want to win, and unlike the past two games when I was sure we would win, tonight I am only about 55% sure. Not to be trite, but let's take this one game at a time.

No predictions, just a comment on Dempster. If people want to call him a NL pitcher, fine, but this lineup is worse than most NL lineups.
