The trade with Pal for Papi will help my team more than the alleged lopsided trade, because it will give my team more balance. My top 3 hitters are CarGo, Papi and Trout. On the pitching side, I have Verlander, Harvey, Lee, and Greinke. Closers are Kimbrel and Chapman. I'll ride with that.

Honestly, I think the trade will be very good for both teams. My team started out lopsided with far too much offense, and somehow I ended up picking up Mark Reynolds on the waiver wire and I was sitting on 6 players with 1B eligibility-- while my starting staff has really been suffering.

Obviously Papi has been crushing the ball lately, but if he has an MVP caliber year at the plate its win-win for me.

Last year I got Loshe via waivers. He saved my ass several times to the point that become my #1 SP. I see in Segura and Kendrick a huge upside. Only time will tell, though. I like the passion you put on this and make the contest even more interesting, but in the end it is just for fun guys, no big deal.

Yeah that's kinda not the point. I got Machado with the last pick in the draft and got Mujica and Cahill of waivers, and they've been three of my best players so far this year. However, i don't think anyone would trade me their first round pick for those three and with good reason: A hot streak doesn't make a season. You trade guys with track records for guys with track records.

In the end, you're probably the one who got screwed, but it was a conscious decision on your part. Good luck, hope it works out in your favor.

I feel bad for whoever loses the matchup. The amount of s*** talking that's going to be done lmao.
Not really. For a trade to get vetoed, it has to be either completely one-sided and/or it has to unfairly impact the competitive balance of the league. This trade is neither. If Segura finishes close to Trout in points my point will be vindicated that the trade was imbalanced. It won't matter if I lose the bet to Pal. He's a good guy, but I disagree with him on the issue. I proposed the wager to keep attention on this.

As for UN, I'll give him some of the action on the bet, but the terms would be different for him. Trout had 643 points last year. What would constitute a lopsided trade 10% difference, 15% difference? A player with 10% less points would have 579 points. Only 10 hitters had more points than that in 2012. Trading players in the top 10 is not a lopsided. 15% less points would be 547 points. Only 18 hitters reached that level. Let that blowhard UN put his money where his mouth is. Let him take the Segura vs Trout bet and since he is convinced it is lopsided he should spot me 15%. He'll never go for it, because he is nothing but a blowhard.

That's why we made the trade. We both think it will help our teams.

Kendrick with a complete game victory last night. Not bad for a waiver wire pickup. He's piling up quality starts.

Outstanding performance.

After dropping Pettite, Dickey, Johnson, Beckett, Hanrahan, Ian Kennedy, and Peavy now on the DL, my entire pitching staff is built almost entirely on mid-season pickups.

I wanted to get some opinions of other Fantasy players regarding a trade in one of my other leagues. Here it is:

Longoria

for

Keppinger and Trevor Bauer

It is a keeper league with 16 teams. Each team gets 4 keepers to carry over to the following season plus 1 minor leagues keeper. During the season you can have 4 minor league guys on your roster, but can only keep 1 for the following season. A player doesn't count toward the fantasy roster while he still has rookie eligibility (i.e. under 130 ABs for hitter and 50 innings for pitchers). Bauer has 32 innings of MLB service. Rosters only carry 4 bench spots. What say you.

Side wager when we go head to head?

Dipre is lucky that he wanted no part of a side wager. Since the trade that he bitterly opposed as one-sided and unfair, me and iortriz have improved from 6th and 7 in the standings to 3rd and 4th. The trade has helped both teams. The trade with Pal for David Ortiz is the trade that really gave my offense a shot in the arm.

What a load of bull. Segura is struggling and Kendrick doesn't K anyone. You improved, iortiz barely did. Still a cheater.
Still a jerk. This cheater is chasing you down. Get ready to be passed possibly by 2 or 3 teams. Also, if you haven't noticed, Trout has not exactly been on fire. I got him after he hit for the cycle. I am pretty sure that Iortiz improved more at SS than I did in the OF. You do realize that we have to play a SS don't you? I probably got a bigger OF boost when I picked up Dominic Brown off waivers. He was crazy hot when I picked him up. You missed out on that one too. Kendrick had a rough couple of starts but he is back on track getting Quality Starts and his ERA is good too. I hope that we both pass your miserable ass.

It's easy to improve your team, when you swindle a top-3 player for a decent SS and a mediocre SP. Give me a break. At least you admit you're a cheater.

In the meantime, i'm still in first without cheating.

By the way, Jean Segura is a really, really, really good player. His bat speed is off the charts, prospect guys have been in love with him for a while.

In a fantasy league, if you owned Mike Trout, would you trade him for Jean Segura and Kyle Kendrick?

I think Segura has a pretty good chance of heading to the All Star game. How I improved my team was by picking up a likely All Star SS like Segura and a likely All Star OFer like Dominic Brown off the waiver wire while you slept. I atr your lunch on those pickups not to mention drafting Harvey.

 Your ass must be burning over those pickups.

Nothing compares to the way GOM cheats though.
