Official Talksox Fantasy Baseball 2013

Since Yeszir is unable to do it this year, I will run the official 2013 Talksox Fantasy Baseball League. As usual, this will be done through Yahoo with a live draft to be set at a fair time in the not too distant future.

 

I think a $20 entry fee is fair, to keep users active and to have a prize at the end. The prize will be the total collected to one winner. I'll handle money collection and safekeeping. I can even accept credit cards through paypal if that's a concern.

 

As a group we can work out the details but this will be head to head with stats TBD. Anyone who is not banned and has a resonable amount of contributions to the eite can join this league.

I want to make sure that there is interest before giving out the league data. Please only join if you will be active and take this seriously. This is fantasy baseball, it should be competitive and fun.

No, I wouldn't be able to be consistent with the league. School and work is all I'm trying to worry about now. Besides, it's basically giving away 20 bucks, since I'm not going to win.

The league is set. Those of you that played last year should get an invitation ( but I'll send reghistration information anyway ). The tenative time for the draft is 3/16/13 @ 6:00 PM EST. Also, I changed two parameters from last year.

1) eliminated "can't cut list"

2) increased minimum pitching from 7 innings to 14

 

The logic behind eliminating "can't cut list" is that it further penalizes a high draft pick that bombs out on you making you still have to carry him. Futhermor, increasing the minimum pitching is to prevent a team from stock piling just relief pitchers.

It's impossible to please everyone with the draft time . Everyone has different schedule .

For example , the first 2 proposed time worked for me and now this one doesn't .
