Personally I think Jerry wouldn't work as well without Don as his straight man.

Not a Sean McDonough fan I guess?

Yeah' date=' he didn't work well with Sean McDonough. IMO. Remy is a special breed.[/quote']

I thought he was fine with Sean. Always felt Don was Sean-lite.

Don is OK...he makes funny mistakes and those are kinda' worthwhile on their own. He is a good foil for Remy's dry wit and he seems to be willing to accept that role.

Remy would probably have a hard time with a guy in the booth that was more "active" lets say. Remy does not like boisterousness....at all.....He is OK looking at it as long as it is wayyyyyyyyyy over there somewhere.

There's a difference between being a straight man and paint drying on the wall.

No Don is Jerry's straight man. He plays it well. Last year Remy and Don were voted the best in the American league

I like both of them. And they work very well together.

Don and Sean sound very much alike. But there is a reason Orsillo is still there and McDonough is not.

Don and Jerry's chemistry is much better IMO.

This game was probably the best of the season. A steady offensive performance, three hits from a guy who has been struggling, a strong pitching performance from a guy who has been struggling, and during a quick trip to the store I got a free 12-pack of Dr Pepper. All I need now is a briefcase full of untraceable cash to be left on my doorstep and a surprise blowjob from Lucy Liu and I can go to sleep happy.

Hope this works out cause Buch is going to be up to 123 now. Tellin' ya' I think managers are going to try to stretch their starters out more this year than in the recent past.

Ballsy move to bring Buck out for the 9th, great that it worked.

Fitting that nava recorded the final out. He was one of the lifters tonight.

Nice game Clay.

Lester should take note how desperately he need to work on an offspeed pitch.

Its too late to work on that pitch for this season. But you are right: a changeup would make Lester much more effective. Everything he throws is at least 90mph

Prediction: Red Sox 7, Orioles 3

Buchholz has been pitching well of late, and our offense is due for some runs. Matusz isn't that good. More importantly, I think the players are going to start to feel a sense of urgency to start winning again.

From page 1. Got our run total correct. Glad I missed on the O's runs.

Tito wouldn't have let him go 9. BV has this right.

I am really anxious to see what the average innings per start totals look like across baseball by the end of the season. Funny how baseball has turned into something of a follow the leader deal like football but I really think the rest of the league's managers and FO guys have taken their lead from Nolan Ryan and are stretching out the starters more. If it even results in a 0.25 increase in innings per start over 1 season that would be a big one season jump. A 0.50 increase would be huge.

This game should've been the capper to a sweep but we won and got back over .500. We always play well in interleague so let's hunker down and really get on a roll in these next few series. This series sucked and we lost to an inferior team but them's the breaks and we need to move on and take the Washington set. They have great pitching but I think we can take at least 2 games.

Looks to me like the Rays and Yanks might be making a run back to the top of the division right now. This is a big month for the Sox. At least the pitchers are pitching, probably a bit over their heads as a group though. Interesting to see if they can keep this up cause I think they are going to have to.

Great game by Buchholz tonight. He looks to be right back on track where he was before he broke his back. Gonzo looked to be right on pitches tonight. First time in a long time where he swung the bat well. Hopefully, Dice K can do a good job on Saturday.
