What should happen is that we cut bait with DMac and Byrd and keep both.

We've got to keep DMac he is the extreme back end of the bull pen.:D

He's a vegetarian' date=' which apparently means he eats pasta by the 5-gallon bucket.[/quote']I think he thinks you are a vegetarian if you eat grass fed livestock.

Ticket to death. Humans are meant to eat protein' date=' good fat, and greens. Dumbass vegetarians.[/quote']

I'm no vegetarian, but do you have anything to back this up? Your position seems too extreme to be right.

Not that extreme really. A balanced diet which includes meat is what we as a species are built for.

Lester is fine. 75 pitches? A jam shot and an infield single. Doesn't need the pen quite yet.

Lester is not as effective now as he was earlier. PC is just one factor.

Hey if Nava sticks more power to him.

The things he does well are not things that are going to leave him at this stage of his career. He is a little like a college basketball player that stayed in college all the way to graduation thus coming into the pro ranks with much more experience than your standard draftee these days.

He clearly has such little physical ability at this point that I think it is hard to believe he will be able to stick even as a ML sub. He is here from what I can tell because he got hot in Pawtucket just as the Sox needed more outfield help. So it has taken the best baseball he could muster at a very difficult time for the parent club for him to get an opportunity here.

I love the kind of baseball player he is as he has had more smart, good at bats in the few games he has been up for than some of these guys have had all season while playing very well in the field. It is I think the lack of physical ability and his age that will keep him from staying up with any organization for very long. There is nobody I would rather be wrong about more than Nava.

At 87 pitches? No way. I think he's going at least 8.

I'd take my chance and save the pen too. We have a 5 run cushion and Lester's no stranger to the 8th in his career.

Fine, but some actual supporting data or something is always nice. Paul McCartney looks pretty good for 70, in spite of his 'ticket to death'.

Well there's a difference between vegetarianism and veganism. Veganism really isn't very good for you. Some people find enough other things to do to get healthy that they can get away with veganism, but it's not the most efficient way to keep your body nourished.

I agree. When they are cruising send them out for another inning.

Lester has a chance to finish tonight. I'd like to see him do it if possible.

As Fernando Lamas used to say "It is better to look good than feel good". BTW he actually said that!

It would likely be a tremendous boost for his confidence if Lester could actually finish tonight.

With his stuff, I see no way he shouldn't be able to. Unless of course, he falls apart again

Glad to see that I was wrong and Lester did come out for the 8th.
