And put him where? In the bullpen? You have no idea how he'll do in the bullpen' date=' and he isn't going to be on an innings limit, at least not nearly as much as Felix.[/quote']

they wont touch bard ,since valentine loves him, beckett, buch, and lester. So where is Daisuke comes back he will take felix spot.

Valentine has wanted Bard in the bullpen since ST.

Again. Even if you double his innings, that's 140 innings this season. If you want Bard to be in the rotation long term, it's got to be a gradual increase. And besides that, Bard is incredibly valuable in the bullpen. He's a perfect fit back in the bullpen. They have no swing and miss guy in the pen.

When have the sox done something right ,with clear thinking.Rather then go with it cause they are doing bad.

This is a meaningless argument, though.

Lester's troubles have been mostly due to his inability to hit the outside and low corner against righties or the down and in corner vs lefties. When he was ace level, he painted that corner. If he regains that, he will regain his status

Dice-K better not take Doubront's spot. He better not take anyone's spot if he pitches like he did in his last outing.

Hit and Run has not worked well for us so far this year, mainly because the hitters have not made contact with the ball to often. that said, so far V has really tried it in many cases with guys that are not contact guys to begin with.

I hope that was not a straight steal by Byrd. If that is the case, I have no idea where he thinks he is going. He is to old for that s*** and has been out by a mile so far this year.

Worked really well in the 3rd game of the Detroit series. But since then, not so much. Bobby V is doing it with the wrong hitters. Too many times with guys like Shoppach or Ross who don't play make a lot of contact to begin with.

Aviles is on struggle street lately. Hitting .200/.230/.285 over his last 16 games.

He's not struggling as much as he's just coming back down to earth after his torrid start. I think he's keeping the seat warm for Iggy, and then he'll be back in the role he was last year.

Lester has had better location and control in 2 1/3 so far tonight than he has had in entire outings. Now he has got the Mariners reaching cause they know he is painting the corners

It's way too early for Iggy to come up, unless they think he can cover the range that Aviles can't while playing with Youk. I think WMB will get optioned down to Pawtucket, against everyones wishes.

Seattle makes 2012 Lester look like pre-2012 Lester.

Lester would be dominating anyone tonight. He is locating to that outside edge. Nobody will hit him when he is locating there. And the no-no is gone

Anyone remember that game in 2010 when Lester was facing the M's and was absolutely dominating (I think no hitter through 7). Then in the 8th, Darnell misplayed a ball in CF, and Lester just melted down and the Sox lost?
