Well' date=' he's one of the best defensive LFers in the game [b']with one of the best arms[/b].

i missed this little gem the first time around. your comments are aging like a fine wine

Yeah' date=' apparently splitting the plate belt high is a ball[/quote']

i missed that memo as well but apparently all the umpires in baseball had a meeting about it prior to this season

i don't disagree with war. it's just like any other stat in that it doesn't accurately assess the value of every player in every situation. this is clearly one of those times when it doesn't accurate assess a player's value

Between his offense, defense, and the amount of time he has spent on the field, I think you could make the case that he has been one of the top five most valuable Yankees this year.

They looked overhead and it split the plate and they did the side camera and it crossed at the belt. Not sure where it missed

Take a look at his arm rating. He doesnt have a lot of power' date=' but he is incredibly accurate[/quote']

we must have a very different idea of what "one of the best arms" means

most valuable because of his playing time isn't the same as the original assertion that he is one of the yankees best players

It's not just his playing time, it's also the other things. Fact is, the stats side with Jacko, and while your opinion is reasonable, his is hardly one to laugh at.

He has been one of the teams best players, however you slice it. It definitely helps him that Tex was useless for 2 months and 2 of the Yankee stalwarts are having career worst seasons.

war, which you admitted wasn't accurate in assessing gardner, sides with jacko. everything else about him being one of the best players on the team, possibly having the second best offenses year of any yankee and having one of the best arms of any left fielder is pretty comimcal

As is your blatant bias and refusal to accept reality this season. But that isnt new.

if not living in your alternate reality in which brett gardner is the second best offensive player on the yankees makes me biased, then i'm the most biased person on the site

OK' date=' nicely done by CC. If they take the lead, obviously it's Mo. If they don't, let CC face Crawford, and then go to Wood.[/quote']

that was a hell of a start. from a baseball perspective, i love the way he always gets deep into games. i wish more pitchers pitched like that

CC truly is an ace, and for 2 seasons now, he's been worth the money

I meant position player, and I will stick by that. His WAR is ridiculous, and when he isnt playing well, we lose.
