it's only the 5th inning

He had Robertson up, obviously he was willing to go to him. It was one of the biggest ABs of the game, go to one of your best relievers, not your lefty specialist when you know Maddon is going to pinch hit for the righty.

if they sox are 5 games back with 6 games left to play against the yankees you'll be sweating' date=' even if you're too childish to admit it[/quote']

I firmly believe that if Sox were to miraculously beat the Yankees out for the WC, he'd still maintain his "low sweat" level. When you are here to sow discontent, it's best to show no weakness.

benoit retires the heart of the yankees order on 8 pitches

I'd be really surprised if they won, after blowing the 6-0 lead, and then failing to capitalize in the 6th.

Your wish has been granted Yankees228. Posada with the pinch hit HR.

Haha, about time. I was waiting for it starting in the sixth inning.

Good win, what a play by Golson.

What we have seen the last two nights has not been the Yankees falling apart. They are in no danger of falling apart. What we have seen are two very evenly matched teams going head to head in very exciting games. An ALCS between these two teams should be very exciting.

were they going up against an evenly matched team when they were swept by texas and lost 2 of 3 to the orioles?

They were in a little slump, but they are not falling apart. Texas is leading their division, and the Orioles have been winning for Showalter. The Yankees are not in a collapse or free-fall. They played the Rays into extra innings in two games in Tampa and split those games. They still have the best record in baseball, so they are not exactly falling apart.
