well, that should do it. romero came into this game 9th in the AL in ERA and the yankees came in to the game struggling to hit even bad pitchers and they blow it open in the third. that's baseball for ya

I don't understand why that's a 3 RBI double for A-rod instead of a 3 run error. I mean that's a huge pet peeve of mine in baseball scoring, but even then, the OF touched the ball. Even then, I think there should be errors charged even if the players don't touch the ball, but that's irrelevant because the ball went off of the LF's glove.

Any time a stolen base threat reaches against the Yankees, Teixeira might as well play behind the guy. These pitchers hardly even try to hold runners on.

McDonald never touched the ball. With that being said, I agree with your overall point. Plays like that are almost always called hits, and they shouldn't be.

I don't know, I swear the ball touched his glove. I'll need to see the replay again, but I was positive that it hit his glove. In any event, it should have been an error. I'd be incredibly pissed off if I was charged earned runs because of that garbage.

Swisher is my favorite Yankee baserunner. He's a complete dunce out there.

I can't believe Teixeira was able to get the ball down on the ground before the track with that trajectory. Wise should play a little deeper when someone with power is up.

LOL. Failure.

What did Swisher do wrong?

He stopped and reversed course. That was clearly over Wise's head.

Absolutely impossible to tell from where he was standing. Every base runner in that situation is taught to run a little bit past second, turn, and watch for the baseball. Swisher did nothing wrong.

With that being said, it was an awful send by Rob Thomson, something that Yankees' fans have become accustomed to.

Ladies and gentlemen' date=' your American League all-star, Phil Hughes (and his 3.86 ERA).[/quote']

Pettitte and Jered Weaver are better than him and CC IMO

Did the official scorer really give Gardner and inside the park home run on that? That should clearly be an error on Wise.

A great example of biased scorekeeping from the Yankees. Completely bogus, really f***ed Morrow over there.

It's s*** like this that makes everyone outside of New York hate the Yankees.

I admit that it's a poor decision, but, when an outfielder loses a ball in the sun, it is typically called a hit, no matter where the game is being played.

That's at least the 2nd play in consecutive days that should have been an error, but instead helped the Yankee offensive statistics and hurt the Toronto pitching statistics. And it f***** over everyone who had Toronto pitching or faced Yankee offense in their leagues (cough) me (cough) (cough).

This play was worse though because even with the current (but flawed) rules, it should have been an error since Wise had touched it. In the other one, it didn't technically touch McDonald, so with the current rules, the refs made the right call, even though it's a horrible rule.
