Were the pitches where Gameday showed them? Gameday had the 1-1 and 2-1 closer to the middle of the plate than the edge and above the knee.

Good move by the Yankees opting to go with Bruney as a setup guy and trading Farnsworth. I'm no Farnsworth fan, but Bruney is jus a fat journeyman.

Eddie Guardado in again tonight going for the save. My goodness. The Ranger managers is throwing the game. This guy is 100 yrs old and 300lbs. He just walked Jeter on 4 pitches to lead off the inning.

He k's Abreu looking. What a chump Abray-boo is.

The last pitch to Abreu was farther outside than the previous one. HP ump was pretty inconsistent both ways from what I saw tonight.

2 tuff games to lose

the walk off granny and then to come back and get close only to fall short has to hurt.

it aint easy against these .500 clubs

And Pudge gets knocked out of the game after a homeplate collision...<_>

Pudge looked OK, he walked under his own power back to the dugout. Murphy was on the ground for about three minutes.

fkn mussina cant break a pane of glass yet he handcuffed texas last night better than anyone has all summer..if he gets a decent strike zone he can be real dangerous.

of course i saw mike young k on 2 85mph fastballs that were eye high and a slider that started a foot outside and finished in new mexico.

hes got hitters off balance and appears to be as confident now as hes ever been, even when he was the best in the league while in baltimore.

he takes a lot of s*** from yankee fans and we made fun of him here but i think hes been their most consistant starter theyve had since he came 2 nyc.

hes beatable because he needs to be perfect,he has no qualms about men on base,he knows he can get 3 out 5 men out and pitches accordingly and mighty effectively these days.

Feinsand is an idiot. You see, he broke the story yesterday that Pettitte had "arm stiffness". Once that was negated and Andy flat out denied it, he now says he has "tired arm." Stiffness and tired arm are two different things. Listen, if he wants to point out that Andy has been pathetic his last 2 starts, then fine. But look at the teams he faced. Regardless, Andy does this every yr. He is a lot streakier than most people realize and soon enough he will find it again. Probably not in time to save our season (unless TB or BOS go into the tank).

"He's starting Sunday," manager Joe Girardi said. "Whether I start him on five days or six times the next time, I don't know. But he's our starter Sunday."

I don't like the Yankees chances due to the injuries they have sustained, especially Joba.

However....I'm not ready to throw in the towel with the Yankees trailing the Red Sox in the Wild Card by three games in the second week of August.

When are they going to realize that Kennedy is not a major league player?
You clearly know nothing. Jacksonian predicted 10-12 wins for him this season.
