Rumors have it that Arod will be shipped to the Cubies or the Red Sox. The cubies will be getting the biggest stiff in the MLB along with the 29 prospect Bubba Crosby for pitcher Carlos Zambrano. If the Red Sox pick up on the trade, Arod will be sent inexchange for Big Poppie with 40% of the rest of Arods contract payed off

believe me it hurts me to hear this but its true

Why would Chicago ever want to part with their ace at only 25? the only thing I can possibly think of is the FO going through a transition right now. With Kerry Wood most likely not coming back I don't see this as happening. Wheres the source of this anyway?

This guy's full of s***...although the Cubs scenario is at least relatively feasible, the Sox scenario is totally bogus. I whole-heartedly believe that the Yanks won't move ARod unless they can get a front-of-the-rotation starter. That's Zambrano, but the trade still doesn't make sense for the Cubs...they would never move their ace considering the fact that wood is on the shelf, possibly for good.

Oh, and if by some chance this guy is on and the Sox do move Papi for ARod...I can say with 100% confidence that Theo Epstein will end up dead. I know this, because I will be the one who kills him. :)

The only way I move A-Rod is if I'm getting Carlos Zambrano and Aramis Ramirez. And there is absolutely no way the Cubs will do that, so I do not trade A-Rod.

why would the Sox trade Senor Clutch for Senor "let's see how long i can pout cuz my manager moved me down the order for stinking it up after i opened my big fat yap to SI"

Hes smoking some crack if he thinks the sox will go after him.

I don't doubt for a second that the Sox will inquire as to what it'll take to get ARod...they won't mortgage their farm system or anything, and I think the Sox price will be a lot higher than anyone elses being that they're in the same division, and obviously the Ortiz scenario is unheard of, but I absolutley, positively think it's a FAILURE on the part of the Sox front office if they don't at least check out what it would take. The guy has had a couple of bad postseasons...he's still THE BEST PLAYER IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE

This whole Arod stuff is garbage. The guy has a no-trade clause. It all comes down to this:

A) Does he want to be loved?

or

B) Does he want to win a World Series?

The Yankees, as you well know, are the ONLY team to make the post-season every year since the inception of the wild card. So, Arod is guaranteed yet another shot to go .091 in the post-season next year. He left Texas to go to a team to try to get a ring. The Yankees represent his best realistic chance to win a World Series.

It all depends on his frame of mind, and probably the advice of his life skills coach. Win, or be loved.

As a diehard Yankee fan, I believe he will stay because he wants to win. Which pretty much guarantees another first round exit for the Evil Empire. f***.

According to this Article the White Sox are pushing to get A-Rod. I Can't really see it happening though due to Joe Crede. If the Sox were to get A-Rod then what would they do with Crede as of right now it seems like his job is pretty safe. He's been one of their better players for awhile. Then again who knows what could happen we have seen some crazy things go on in the trade market. Only tell will tell what happens with A-Rod.

ARod's true position is SS, so the ChiSox have nothing to consider regarding Crede. Given Uribe's legal troubles in the DR, it's no surprise they are making a push for him. A 3-6 of ARod, Thome, Konerko, and Dye? Scary s*** right there. And, ARod will hit 50+ bombs in that park.

And if they could get this done at a cost to the ChiSox of $10m per year? not bad...hell, the Red Sox signed Rentanerror for $10m. I think it all depends on what the White Sox have to give up (likely a pitcher).

Boras says ARod is staying in the Bronx

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2637909

That's the smart move by an agent, to say he's not going anywhere. If he indicates that ARod is moving, the trade value decreases, the Yankees are pi$$ed, and Boras KNOWS who has the most money to spend...he doesn't want any conflict with the cash cow, lest it somehow affect his own pocket down the line.

If Arod stay in NY, it will be a media circus for him every day beiginning in spring training. Even more pressure will be mounted on him from the NY fans, media, and even team mates to get it together. He's in line to have a nervous break down

Editted in bold to prove your point even further.

Sure....give him another 100 post-season games...maybe he will get a run-scoring hit when the shortstop trips over his shoelances when the Yankees are down by 10 runs in Game 5 of the ALDS. In the 9th. With two out.

f*** Arod. In a way, I want to see that dickhead crash and burn in NY. Kind of like watching a car wreck.

You know, I miss 2003, and I'm sure you guys miss 2004. When the real show wasn't the World Series, it was the ALCS. Gamers like Jeter, and Tek, Schilling, and Mariano. Ortiz was feared, and Boone was reviled. Now what do we have? A Yankee team that can't realize that the other team doesn't read the press clippings of how good the Yankees are supposed to be, and subsequently beat the crap out of them, and a Red Sox front office that is trying to rebuild when two of the best hitters in baseball are still in their prime [at least for another year or two].

You know the greatest moment I ever had at Yankee stadium? I've seen nearly every great game since 1995. You know what it was? It wasn't Boone's homerun, it was from the moment Posada tied the score, and up until Boone's homerun. All the history, the rivalry, everything. The anticipation between every swing, the prayer with every pitch....one continuous, glorious moment. [Jesus, it sounds like I'm writing an article for Penthouse forum]. As soon as Boone hit it, joy, but the climactic moment is over. [Definitely an article for the forum].

You know something...give me back 2003...extra innings. Tie game. No Aaron Boone. The outcome still unknown. Let's play it out ever year. Wouldn't that be great?
