I think it's absolutely ridiculous to even think of taking the Citgo sign down. One, it's a "landmark", two it won't hurt the Citgo industry or Hugo Chavez if it's taken down, and three people are always pissed at Bush what's new?!
I don't listen to percentages and the word "treatable" when it comes to medical issues just because of the fact that when my mother went into the hospital, the doctors barely gave her a 20% chance to live (she had lung and pancreas issues). She fought for 4 months in the hospital, and it's now 4 years later and she is as strong as ever! Positive energy and amazing doctors work wonders!
How wonderful that your sister-in-law has been doing well over the past 2 years. I guess we both had the same idea about the accident being a blessing in disguise...we must have been typing at the same time!
My thoughts and prayers are definitely with Lester and his family at this time. I think Lester's car accident was a blessing in disguise. Who knows how long this would have gone undetected had that not happened.
While I wasn't on talksox during that thread, I do remember exactly where I was on that date (sitting in my living room trying SO hard to control my screams and cries since I had a 6 month old bably sleeping in the next room!) and I got chills just reading the thread!
I think it's important that we remember times like that to keep our spirits high! GO SOX!!!!
Maybe because it's frustrating as hell to come to a board (such as Talksox) for a good discussion and you end up reading immature and unnecessary comments that waste space. :dunno:
I think SFOC has EVERY right to comment on other people's post, especially considering what HE has brought to the board (are you familiar with what this guy has done around here?).
I am an optimist until the last pitch is thrown...I keep it positive to support the team I have always loved! Let's get behind our team with some GOOD thoughts, not all the bitching and complaining that so many seem to do!
