    I think Jacko is right. Ortiz is going to continue to decline and no manager in baseball will fear our bottom three. I dont think we will be "so far out of it" by the trading deadline if we dont get a bat but we'll be in trouble. We are going to miss Bay big time. I'm sorry but Kotchman and Cameron are not going to balance it out. We need a big time bat.

    I completly agree with this. I much rather give up Kelly, Westmoreland, plus whatever then Jacoby and Buch. Jacoby has proven he has what it takes to play in this league and Buchholz has shown glimpes. Give them the prospects. This team here is enough to win the East. The one Jacko mentions before isn't.

    Who else do we have that can play 3rd if we dont get Gonzo or Beltre? I wouldn't give up Buch or Ellsbury to get Gonzo. I'd give up Kelly but considering how bad the Padres want him and how reluctant the Sox are to give him up there must be something special. I've stated my opinion on this before though.

    How do you know Westmoreland is going to be "awesome"? Kelly is nothing but potential. Sure they may both go on to have a few all star seasons but they also may be busts. You were right the second time we get a guaranteed stud in Gonzo who is young and cheap. Kelly and Westmoreland for Gonzo I would do in a heartbeat.
