Marino= Past/Now

Papelbon=Now/Future

I think thats what everyones been trying to get across

If Theo learned anything from Bill James/Beane then he will move Papelbon to the rotation.

Well on a side note, I came across a funny article that pokes fun at Arod haters

ESPN

I'd love to see him attempt to make an article like that come playoff time.

Great start by moose today, complete game and had to waive off Joe.

Haha yeah! I didn't even notice that, I must have been distracted or something, until the postgame recap. I absolutely love seeing guys so amped up like that, and I loved Torre's reaction. :lol:

lol, when Joe was coming out, I was like NOOO, and then he stopped, and went back in, and I was like what happened, then they showed Moose HAHAHAHA

Thats CG #57 for Moose, #6 on the active list, hes only 278 behind Red Ruffing now, lets see if he can do it!!

Yeah Rivera is just about amazing, spectacular, phenomenal, all of the above. But we already new that. Hello tied for first.

I believe they said the last time Mo went 3 in a REGULAR SEASON game was 1996.

However, we all also remember Game 7 back in 2003 :D

..it's games like these that make Rivera the BEST, and not Papelbon.

Rotoworld: Gary Sheffield has been diagnosed with a torn ligament in his left wrist, according to the YES Network.

This could be very bad. If Sheffield needs surgery, it'd likely be at least six to eight weeks before he could resume baseball activities, possibly quite a bit longer. The Yankees are calling up Kevin Thompson to replace Sheffield on the roster.

he's sure to be out longer than his first DL stint

Yeah the Yanks are really roughing them up for the Red Sox.

I wouldn't doubt the Tigers play much better this weekend. Much like Toronto the last few years. Get up for the Sox, lay down for the Yanks.

The Yankees say Gary Sheffield won't undergo surgery after being diagnosed with a torn ligament and dislocated tendon in his left wrist. He's going to rehab the injury.

Best of luck. Manager Joe Torre still didn't seem optimistic that Sheffield would be back anytime soon. "Well, that sounds like it might be a while," Torre said. Jun. 1 - 7:36 pm et

4 innings 5 runs so far...another quality start by Wang? The last time the Yankee fans made the excuse that it was hard for him to focus with such a big lead. Are there any excuses tonight? or is this just a carbon copy of most of his starts. Once he puts a few men on, he falls apart, because he can't pitch out of the stretch. At least that's what Suzanne Waldman and John Strerling are saying.
