Kinda like Paxton Crawford rolling out of bed onto a glass, or John Smoltz (right?) ironing a shirt while he was wearing it.

I think you need to stop jumping all over the Yankees starters when Boston Dirt Dogs comes up with a headline reading "Yankee Stadium Spells Trouble for Sox Rotation Next Week"

please guys, stop thinking that Dirt Dogs & WEEI is how all of us think. IMO 3 of the games will be Beckett, Schilling & Wakefield. That I feel confident going into the series

Or Garrett Atkins (I think) carrying groceries. Someone from the Rockies.

these are willis's projected #s in florida

if the nl is hitting .288 against him??

that 4.93 era will look like a 7 in the american league east

wang, for all intents and purposes has been nys #2 all year behind mussina

sure the sox croaked him a bit but hes been steady pretty much all year and you know what you got with him

ny dont send wang to miami for willis in my opinion

the national league is simply inferior

i watched mike remlinger pitch for atlanta last nite,we cut him last year

bases loaded,0 outs for arizona,1st guy k'd 2nd guy popped up and then sean green comes to the plate

remlinger hangs 4 breaking balls in a row,the last 1 green hit into left for a 2run single

any of those 4 pitches wouldve been parked in the al

christ

most high school teams wouldve taken them yard

god help me i do love my baseball package but the nl is a little better than AAA in my opinion

I'm not even angry about losing. 3 of 4 is great. The only thing that pisses me off is Torre. On the bright side Detroit goes into the Red Sox series with momentum.

I am. I was really hoping to sweep four games from the best team in baseball. f***ing Farnsworth!!!

just goes to show you who the real mvp of that team and probably in baseball over the last 10 years is

whats life like without rivera??

pretty fukin grim i take it.

as far as detroit being the best team in baseball??

theyre off to a good start for sure but lets revisit this at the all star break

Correct me if I'm wrong. Rivera hurt himself.....putting on a shoe?

yup , he hurt his back , that was actually costly as farnsworth couldnt close it out

TRADE FARNSWORTH

I'm serious. Unlike our former set up man, he doesn't wait until October to choke. This guy should be gone come August, as far as I'm concerned. Find a team who needs a closer, can look past how much he has sucked thus far and take a prospect or decent pitcher from them. Send him back to the National League!

Or when Sammy Sosa was out for a week with back spasms due to a violent cough/sneeze.

Melky throws out another runner trying to score. Good to see.

Edit: That's his 6th assist. Ties him with Ichiro and Hunter for the League lead.

how is it so hard to believe he is on steroids????

WHAT!!!! HES A NEW YORK YANKEE, THE GREATEST TEAM EVER IN 18424097220 YEARS, HE CAN NOT BE ON STEROIDS, NO ONE WITH A NY ON THEIR HAT CAN BE ON STEROIDS

Let's see...last time he took steroids he lost about two years of his career, destroyed his body, had to deal with a tumor...

He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer but something tells me that he, or many people, would not do something like that again after going through what he did.

Now you're just making yourself look foolish.

I could have had a reason other than he's a Yankee, but no.... you jump to conclusions to get a quick, cheap laugh (I imagine.) A true epitome of that common saying about what you do when you assume.

the sox win was so much more exciting. The yankees won because somebody dropped a ball. The sox won because youk hit a 9th inning homer. That's what its all about.

What's it all about, winning?

Seems like they accomplished both tasks.

:damon: was out, by the way. <_>

It's all about winning it on your own, without the umps or other teams help. We pulled back against a tough team. Either the ump made a bad call or someone dropped a balll to win it for the Yankees and :damon: . I'd much rather be a fan of the team who wins it themselves and can pull back then needs help from some umpire.
