Yeah, Mike shouldn't have come back at the end of that year. My point would have been stronger. :D
it would have been. He was there when it counted-- in the playoffs. But without Horace Grant or Rodman they lost.

Slash, the most-MJ like player besides MJ was Kobe, IMO, and he did pretty well in this later era you're talking about.

MJ's 6 rings without a great supporting cast was pretty good work.

Jordan didn't have a great supporting cast? What?

This is funny because it was a minor issue at the time.

I remember a Boston sportscaster asking Red about this topic when the Bulls won their second title, I believe.

His response: "Jeez, are you kidding? The bulls have the horses."

Which they did.

Three hall of famers in your starting 5 is hard to beat.

Fair enough. But a lot of times, especially at crunch time, the Bulls offense was get the ball to MJ and let him score, and he was able to do just that.

But good teams do that if they can.

Lol. He hardly played!
lol! I know, but my recollection is that he hit some playoff series winning shots for the Bulls. Jordan didn't always get the points in crunch time.

MJ averaged 33.4 points per game over his extensive playoff career. He was Crunch Time personified.
No one is arguing against the greatness of MJ.

We're arguing for the greatness of Lebron. It's astounding how he can actually be somewhat underrated because of all of the hate he garners. Comparing Curry to Lebron is like comparing Jason Giambi to Albert Pujols. Both were great, but one was in a league of his own.

Curry is a one trick pony.

LeBron can dominate a game in so many ways. I think the guys is a creep but he is the most dominant player in the game presently.

I don't get why Lebron setting guys up for blocks is a bad thing. It's intelligent play IMO.

I wasn't saying that setting guys up for blocks is a bad thing, I was just saying that normally you can see Lebron setting a guy up and expect it to happen, at least on TV. On that Iguodala block, I didn't see that coming at all, and it was one of best blocks I've ever seen.

Almost any guy who has ever won has had a solid supporting cast, most of the time playing with another all star (or multiple). There is very few instances I can think of where one guy with a bunch of average players won a championship. I guess Hakeem Olajuwon would be one?

Kobe has never won when he hasn't had a hall of fame big man alongside him (Shaq and Gasol). Jordan played with two hall of famers, Duncan played with numerous great players including David Robinson, Tony Parker, Ginobili and most recently Kawhi Leonard, Wade played with Shaq, Lebron and Bosh, Every single Lakers and Celtics team had multiple hall of famers, and the list goes on and on.

Underrating a guy by saying he's top 5, but not best of all time? What?

Do you even basketball bro? You should listen to some of the haters' arguments. I've heard arguments for Curry, Westbrook, Durant, Carmelo Anthony, and in-prime Duncan and Nowitzki being better than Lebron because he lacks the "clutch gene" and "killer instict".

This just isn't true. Curry has won back to back MVP's and during the regular season and before his injury was considered the best player in the league. Giambi was a guy no one considered best ever, while Pujols was a legendary player. Lebron is a legend, Curry is arguably best player in league, has won back to back MVPs and if Warriors don't get banged up, including himself,is probably a back to back world champion. Pujols, Curry and Lebron are all legends, Giambi was a cheating jack ass. I completely dislike and disagree with that comparison

His one trick must be pretty good. 30 PPG, 7 APG,5 rebounds, 2 steals (led lg), back to back MVP's (one unanimous), 3 all star games in a row, back to back finals appearence, 1 championship. Curry is arguably the greatest shooter of all time. He's 28, played 4 years in college, wasn't heavily recruited and will be top 10 all time in three pointers made assuming he stays healthy at the end of next season. He made 402 IN 1 SEASON. that SHATTERED the old record of 262, held by.. stephen curry.

The amount of disrespect steph has been getting these playoffs is ridiculous. He was clearly injured in the finals.

Curry is off the charts. The guy has game, no disputing that.

Curry is not a better player than Lebron, MVP's (which, in baseball, are also a popularity contest) be damned. The stats and the eye test both prove that. Lebron lights up the scoreboard in every facet of the game.

Curry's number are off the charts. They are very different types of player so they are hard to compare. But no one is better than Curry shooting the ball.

The problem is that defense is also a part of the game. A very important one at that.

I think LeBron is the best defensive player in the "best player" ever debate. Apologies to Bill Russell, who imo did not have enough offensive game to get into the debate.

He's the best current player bro.

I've never heard anyone say Carmelo was better bro.

That sounds like a made up argument bro.

Carmelo might not be top 20 of current players bro.

Early in Lebron's career there was a lot of Melo/Lebron debates, I haven't heard that one in a while, but at one point it was a thing.

^This.

The more current ones are Lebron vs Durant (that one has been a thing for a while)/Westbrook/Curry. I even heard Lebron/Harden last season and laughed so hard I think I cracked a rib.

Curry can take the ball to the hole too.

Bro. What kind of argument is "people said Carmelo was better 10 years ago" bro? That has nothing to do with how Lebron is underrated now bro.

Not 10 years ago bro bro. A couple years ago at worst bro bro. And besides bro bro, how can you compare Durant to Lebron bro bro? That's brodiculous.
