  1. The reds are a game over .500 and have a terrible back end to their bullpen. Only 4 games from first place. Their two corner outfielders are playing lights out, but depth looks a little thin! Maybe we send Barnes and Cordero to the reds for minor leaguer pitcher Bryce bonin!
  2. Isn’t he up to 11 outfield assists? I think we are among the league leaders in outfield assists.
  3. In the words of Toby Mac, “help is on the way!” Sale still looking pretty good in his recovery. Do not know what we can expect from him, but even if 90 percent of his pre injury self, that is better than some of the starters we got now.
  4. No doubt hang’em Chaim has had a great off season. No one, except Ben’s one amazing offseason, ever hits on all his signings. But hang’em Chaim has really come close. What is truly incredible is about two years after taking control, hang’em Chaim has improved the on field product for both the major league team and minor league system.
  5. What had scouts concerned about rocker’s other pitches is there are a lot of mechanical flaws that someone will need to clean up. If they get that cleaned up and he learns how to get late movement on his fastball, then he will be a beast!
  6. We are not a good team defensively either.
  7. When you want them pitch, it seems rocker does not generate many swings and misses. Leiter generates quite a few swings snd misses, he is definitely a guy that could move through the system fairly quickly.
  8. Good news today: we won the first game of the series again. Bad news today: two more losses to follow if we keep the trend going!
  9. And you think this because……
  10. Good news today: pivetta pitched a master piece! Bad news today: offense went into hibernation and we lost on a wild pitch!
  11. How likely is it that hang’em Chaim is a seller at the deadline? Our minor league pitching is so lean, it makes a toothpick look fat. Trading off major leaguers with value for quality pitching prospects makes a lot sense for long term success, but it sacrifices short term success.
  12. In order for the Sox to develop a decent pitcher, they are going to have to revamp the development process. Step 1: don’t send Stevie wonder and eat Charles to scout pitchers live. Step 2: hire real pitching coaches. Better yet steal the best minor league pitching coaches from other teams. Step 3: drafting guys with two good pitchers and hoping they can develop a change up is a terrible strategy.
  13. And he looks terrible at the plate.
  14. Watched leiter pitch for Vanderbilt today. We need to draft this kid in the first round! I hope he is still on the board when we draft.
  15. For 2021 or end with a playoff run, we need: 1.) an ace starting pitcher. We might have that coming in sale! 2.) two quality relievers to replace andriese and rios. We might have that at triple a in ort plus whoever sale bumps from the starter pool. 3.) another quality outfielder. Again triple a has fraunchy or Duran to pick from, Point is, we are not far off, the pieces seem to be falling in place.
  16. Eventually this will bite us. Giving major league teams 4 outs an inning is a recipe for disaster!
  17. If we promote espinal and ort, that would give us 4 former Yankees in the bullpen! So long to rios and andreise!
  18. I have no problem if hang’em Chaim dfa’s Santana and brings up ort!
  19. I have watched Duran a lot and I am concerned about his hit tool.
  20. All staffs go through cycles, let’s stay positive and wait for the cycle to start to uptick!
  21. Good news today: devers and Hernandez with taters. Bad news today: we banged out 11 hits, but only 3 runs. Just could not get those key hits!
  22. This is so accurate. I would take the top 8 and number 11 on this list on my team any day. The magic happens if hang’em Chaim can get us a stud for the 9th spot!
  23. I think cassas is pretty close to being ready! Before he went on the Olympic vacation, he was swinging the bat really well and not chasing as many pitches out of the strike zone. When he goes back to the Olympics, he will come back with timing issues that will take a while to fix, but he is devers part 2 as far as when to elevate him. So, I hope hang’em Chaim brings him up in 2022 after super two day!
  24. Someone suggested using houck as a spot starter to allow each starter to miss a turn or two and keep them fresh through the summer.
  25. My cousin is a chemist with Michelin and his department has done work with several baseball agents. Never doubt people’s desire for an edge.
