    yeah for 20 games a season meanwhile you want a trade blue chip SS who will be cost controlled for years. Makes great sense

    far more likely that Story is traded [ albeit further down the road} than Mayer. i can almost guarantee Henry has told Breslow to do whatever it takes [see Sale trade} to offload that contract.

    I am not going to argue about Sale but Gioloto has been awful the past few years and now we are going to be paying him 38 million for 1 year if we can even get that out of him. Sox lost the Sale trade HORRIBLY but it was all about cutting payroll so Henry could care less

    This is the mistake we have made for several years now. Not trading guys who are going to walk after the season and all we get are low ranked draft picks.

    i think you are going to be disappointed. Just a day or 2 ago Cora said he was aiming high and not just the 3rd W/C either. With the new format Sox will still be alive at the deadline so they won't be selling and other than their 3 prized prospects don't really have much to offer in trades although I do expect a MINOR addition or 2.

    you seem to have forgotten that John Henry no longer operates the Red Sox that way. He is counting on his GM to build a winner through the farm on entry level contracts sprinkled in with a few 1 yr deals on veterans either coming off an injury or a bounce back candidate.

    both replaced by websites you have to pay for. I liked it where you could look up say ther top 25 hitters in the AL without having to miss a meal or 2 to pay for it

    i totally agree. they are all simply rentals and unless we retain $$ i dont see us getting much in the way of decent prospects but hey maybe some team has another " Grissom" they want to unload. As for Henry it is all about unloading more payroll.

    i didn't expect him to be this good but he ended 2023 healthy so i did expect a better Sale in 2024.
