  1. it actually has changed as we continue to cut with no signs of spending
  2. i agree with trading all those 4 although I might try and extend Pivetta for 2 years.
  3. meanwhile Chris Sale is 8-1 with the Braves and a 3.06 era and a whip under 1.00 but keep telling ourselves we won that trade.
  4. i am doing NEITHER AND actually am cheering for them to lose since Henry could care less about the fans. He has become SIMPLY PATHETIC but as long as people keep showing up and watching NESN and buying that rag the Globe nothing will change.
  5. just good enough to make Sox fans feel the turn around is nigh. IT'S NOT !!!
  6. big deal. he is far from a long term answer
  7. because there are too many fans that refuse to realize Henry COULD CARE LESS how the Sox fare.
  8. well back to .500 again. SP other than Houck is starting to perform as many projected
  9. Do you really think John Henry gives a damn?
  10. EXACTLY. I have said this all along
  11. i think they are counting on TRYING to develop one of their own as they are not willing to spend what it takes for one.. I wonder how Henry feels about paying THREE P who are going to combine to not throw a single pitch this year?
  12. hard to get one of those guys on 1 year deals
  13. Once again taking fliers on guys with injuries in their recent history since it has worked out so well in the past.
  14. well they are certainly MILES ahead of the Red Sox
  15. the way O'Neill has been hitting the past month he should come pretty cheap on a 1 yr deal
  16. well you have listed 10 guys as possibles so like I said the BP is up in the air. It will likely be almost mid season till Whitlock returns. Do you figure they are going to go with Hendriks and Fulmer at the back end?
  17. i think it is pretty close to what it will be though
  18. that certainly seems to be the Red Sox goal but looking at the AL East standings today we are 1 game out of last place
  19. Don't look now but that GM Scrooge fired in 2019 has the best record in all of MLB
  20. i don't see us winning 84 but who knows
  21. i actually hope you are right with a 72 win prediction. Of course I would prefer this team win over 90 games and become a true contender but as long as they flounder around .500 nothing will change.
  22. yeah that should get us another .500 season all right
  23. here is my projected roster to open 2025 C-Teel, Wong 1B-Casas 2B-Story SS-Mayer 3B-Devers Extra IF-Grissom LF-Duran or Abreu CF-Rafaela RF-O'Neill or another 1 year FA signing Duran or Abreu or Refsynder the 4th OF I still see Anthony needing another year at AAA given his age. Rotation: Bello Houck Crawford Gioloto Pivetta or another FA on a 1 yr deal Bullpen--I'm not even going go there because there are so balls in the air. We are using guys I have never heard of this year with some success but I don't expect either Martin or Janssen to return so I don't even want to guess what our BP will be. This roster though should be able to compile another .500 or near record and the payroll will keep Mr Scrooge happy.
  24. why are we all fooling ourselves --Sox are going to finish somewhere between 80-82 to 82-80 and Henry will be satisfied especially if Breslow can unload some more payroll at the deadline although with this new expanded playoff format that may not happen either.
