  1. I don’t know if anyone is disputing it takes awhile at this level, and that’s why high expectations shouldn’t be placed on them until they are ready. Or not if the case may be.
  2. Unlike LOWbres I Never wanted Bregman for 5 more years.
  3. Eaton is up, and no injury reported. Who’s out, or going down?
  4. Once again as the deal looks today the deal is a bust. That could change, but at the moment a BIG bust.
  5. I agree on not replacing Devers, but so far Mayer can’t hit. I also questioned that in the offseason when the lineup looked better.
  6. It shouldn’t even be an issue IMO. Right Now the deal is a bust.
  7. I just hope he doesn’t turn out to be a present day KC who can’t even to re-adjust to AAA pitching at the moment.
  8. Where did I say I could do a better job than professional scouts? I just said it has little value no matter who evaluate someone. Mayer wasn’t overhyped before, and after he was drafted.?🤔
  9. Impatient? Games are counting now, and have since the first game of the season. What each player does has a say in the W-L record. It’s really not that complicated. Just like the game threads. Day to day gets judged, and rightfully so IMO.
  10. Durbin was also cheap, and a settle for Bregman.
  11. Agree, and it might have made a difference if he hadn’t missed the time he did, because of injuries, but he did miss that time that didn’t help his development.
  12. Yes cited, and Highlighted, but I see little value no matter who evaluates.
  13. True, and little Anthony put a little damper on that along with a few others.
  14. He missed valuable AB in Portland, and Woo, because of injuries.
  15. I’ve seen many prospects come up going back to Tony C at age 19 in 1964, and produce, so I just don’t get excited about the ones coming up today. As I always say a prospect is useless until they come up, and produce in a Red Sox uniform, or are traded for someone who does.
  16. I know lots of fans, and posters cling to rankings, and projections like they are the be all, know all, but sometimes they don’t turn out in the end all.
  17. Who thinks that? As I’ve said many times not all ranked suspects turn out to be good prospects.
  18. I was never a Devers Forevers guy like some were on here, but I still think not only would he be helping the Red Sox this year, but last year as well. He was missed in the postseason IMO.
  19. I’m going more on what Raffy did in the past in a Red Sox uniform and playing in Fenway. I think it’s more speculation on whatever you’re going on like wishful thinking.🤔
  20. They also need an LL to go along with him.
  21. I agree, but there was so much hype, and expectations put on Mayer, and Anthony just getting here, and especially on Anthony this year, so I agree that shouldn’t have happened.
  22. I understand, but what is currently happening is Breslow, and just being stuck with him is not a good situation to be in.
  23. IMO is not a fact. After a not so stellar start to the season he had settled in quite nicely as the DH. I saw, and see no reason that would change if Breslow would have left him alone. He loved playing in Boston, and it’s a whole different atmosphere in SF.
  24. Pretty much everyone said the Red Sox needed a 2B/3B in the offseason and Mayer would handle which ever one they didn’t get. I didn’t hear a lot of, but he’s only a 23 year old with only 300 MLB at bats. I did question his bat though.
