  1. You don’t like to broaden your horizons? Imagine if people only took what was said on here, and thought it was gospel. What a rude awakening it would be if they found out otherwise.
  2. But Peter Abraham I can, and I did.
  3. My argument has plenty of info from a very reliable source, so what is your reliable source to say it isn’t true?
  4. If social media affected my my opinion then I would be in agreement with some of you guys, and you can see I’m not. Speculation is a long ways from stupid.
  5. Imagine JH listening to sports talk radio, and showing up to be on it. What a guy.
  6. The argument that my argument is based on zero info is zero info itself.
  7. What opinion did I say was stupid? It should be an easy find for you. I trust Peter Abraham on the reporting, and I trust his opinion, so if my opinion is stupid I’m in good company. I’ll also go out on a limb to say that Abraham knows more on the Yoshida subject than anyone on here, and yes I know that’s hard for some to comprehend, and I’ll also say that he has a lot more who agrees with him then anybody on here, so if I have a stupid opinion I’m proud of it.
  8. Even worse to be both.
  9. You honestly think this forum isn’t just another form of social media, or the talk show world don’t you? In your little corner of the world where you feel safe, needed, and important. How quaint.
  10. Good old derangement syndrome it’s funny to watch. To you it’s a stupid opinion, so glad I could oblige to get a shoutout f’n all the way.
  11. My big question is if his talent in Japan will cross over to MLB baseball.
  12. JH could have paid Bogey what SD offered him if he wanted to. It wouldn’t have made sense, but he could have. Why do you think JH showed up at the Felger, and Mass show years ago, when he was driving around, and his rabbit ears heard them talking about him on the radio? He cared back then, and he cared what was being said. I’ve been saying for the last year that JH today is not the same JH of even 10 years ago. Today he just sends out his Wallmart greeter Sam Kennedy, and his dummy Bloom to do the talking for him, because he just doesn’t care what’s being said , or care what’s going on like he used to.
  13. Was that player Judge?
  14. You do realize I could care less of your opinion of my opinion. It’s zero info to you, because you want to go with a different narrative. I thought all opinions were welcome on here. Even it not it never stopped me before.
  15. No we are not sure what being above everyone else means, but the bidding has never been this shot before for anybody ever. For someone who always takes payroll it’s amazing how much is being paid for someone unproven doesn’t bother you. As Artie Johnson would say Verdy interesting.
  16. Once again this is unproven talent in MLB baseball, which is a big difference compared to all the other signings.
  17. I’m not against the signing, but I do have a big ? beside it. The bidding was stopped, because the Red Sox were so far above what anyone else offered, and Boris knew nobody was going higher.
  18. Bogey should have been worth more to for the Red Sox for what he has accomplished than Story, but like I said before I would have been satisfied with something similar to $160M/6, but I truly believe that never happened, and nothing more than the 1 yr $30M ext was offered.
  19. Nobody is worth the contract they are getting, and that includes Judge.
  20. The point being we will never know, but the $160M/6, or something similar should have been offered in the first place, and not the 1 yr ext for $30M. If that would have happened we still wouldn’t be having this discussion today.
  21. The point being that according to sources the Red Sox just didn’t outbid every other team, but out bid them by a wide margin. They didn’t have to go that high is the part that doesn’t make sense. Did the Red Sox know something that all the other clubs didn’t know, or does all the other clubs know something the Red Sox don’t know. Time will tell if this signing makes any sense, or not.
  22. That offer would have been perfectly reasonable to me if that would have happened last offseason. When they only offered the non refuted 1 yr ext for $30M is like like coming to a gun fight with a water pistol.
  23. I think Bloom is facing that same problem that he faced at the trade deadline last year. He’s looking for that 3rd option in the fork in the road.
  24. The point being that initial offer was so ridiculous it shouldn’t have even happened in the ist place, and yes I believe that initial offer was true, and yes it has never been refuted, so it doesn’t really matter what offers were made after that. Once Bogey got to FA it was over.
  25. You ought to be proud of Bloom, because he did something that no one else was ever able to do, which is he got Boris to stop the bidding a coupe of hours after it started. That is a fact. Now the rest of the story that the Red Sox just didn’t outbid every other team, but every other team by a large margin is the question, but that’s what’s out there. I just hope this isn’t Rusney part II. It sounds like the Red Sox were pretty much bidding against themselves, and so much so that Boris shut things down.
