  1. I keep hearing how much money the Red Sox have to spend on here, but I haven’t heard one word from the Red Sox on what they expect the payroll to be next year. They might not spend what the expectations are on here
  2. I still don’t see why Raffy would want to resign in Boston. He’s going to get his money no matter where he goes now. Bogey is gone, and it doesn’t look like the Red Sox are trying to get much better at least in the short term no matter what story Bloom told to Kike. I’m sure there will be better teams than Boston who will want his services., and will pay more than Boston too.
  3. First of all I don’t believe the Red Sox won the Beni trade for Franchy Strangeglove, and Stinkin Winkin. Yoshida hasn’t done anything, or proven anything in the Majors yet, and the next 5 years will show who’s better now. To say the Red Sox made the right choice is based on what?
  4. I’m all for any kind of help when it comes to pitching, and if it takes a trade that’s fine too.
  5. I don’t believe it is ever foolish to go for pitching. You never have to much, and most times don’t have enough.Yoshida would have filled a bigger need if he was a RF with some power. I think Story is the SS, and then it becomes a question if you want to go with Kike, or Arroyo at 2B. Even then more parts are needed.
  6. Wouldn’t you try to fill the hole first? Both contracts you are taking a chance on. If the Red Sox had signed Senga I would have said the same thing, but the Mets signed him, and money is no object to them. With the Red Sox it’s a different story is it not?
  7. Well I guess we agree on this, because I would have rather the Red Sox went after Senga first.
  8. That would be a waste to some of Raffy’s prime years.
  9. You would rather have Yoshida over Senga?
  10. What do you mean the O’s didn’t do anything. They picked up one of Bloom’s prized trade pieces Franchy Strangeglove.
  11. My big question is why should Raffy want to resign with the Red Sox at all if they are going through a 5 yr rebuild, reset, cliff not going all in, or whatever else you want to call it?
  12. It’s just my opinion, so I don’t see why it should cause such a stir. I get everything point you are making, but I would have rather spent the money on Senga if the Red Sox were going to chance on someone, which to me would have been a bigger need.
  13. I thought the Martin signing, and the Jansen signing were good signings. Maybe a year to late, but still a good signing. They did not cost $100M+ either. My opinion is just that they have overpaid for someone unproven in ML baseball. It’s just my opinion popular, or not on here.
  14. For all the talk I hear about payroll on here I would think any contract, and the amount of money that contract is would be important.
  15. Time will tell if this was a good signing, or not. I hope I’m wrong, and it is.
  16. If the Red Sox were a well oiled smooth running organization the nits would be few, and far between, but we know that’s not the case.
  17. $100M+ is a lot of money for the Red Sox, and that is my point from the beginning. You can have your point, but it doesn’t change my point.
  18. Now I’ll admit I may be biased in my opinion on the signing, but I saw a picture of Bloom, Kennedy, and Boris in it, and that is something I just don’t care to watch, but thanks anyways.
  19. But Kike bought in whole line, and sinker.
  20. Then why did Bloom lie to Kike, and tell him the Red Sox were going to be better next year?
  21. Asking a question is not criticizing, and that’s why I asked. I haven’t watched F&M since Sept, but thanks for asking. I heard it at the gym.
  22. I guess you haven’t noticed that the Red Sox are not in Steve Cohen’s league, or many others. $100M+ is $100M+.
  23. It’s to early to judge Jeter, and Franchy two of Bloom’s prized returns?
  24. I criticized Bloom all year, and rightfully so, and I listed the reasons why, and no I wasn’t the only one on here who said the Red Sox should have played out the string, and you know that too. The bad part was I had to pick up the daily wildcard standings update when you bailed out, so at least I didn’t quit like you did.
  25. I’m not a big fan of the signing for that amount of money, so what if I’m first in line, or not?
