I keep saying JH is not the same JH as he used to be. Where’s the JH that dropped into the Felger, and Mass show doing a live interview. Now all he does is send his mouthpiece Sam Kennedy out there to do the talking, and his Dummy (Bloom) to let his homegrown stars do the walking.
And don’t forget Bloom has one arm tied behind his back, because of the budget, and the other arm tied behind his back, because that bad DD wiped out the farm.
Like I have said many times this forum is just a small sample size of Red Sox fans, and I’ll just take a wild guess that more fans are more outraged than satisfied with the Bloom era.
Incompetent? Some don’t think aBloom is that at all, and if the Red Sox just played in another Div they wouldn’t have finished as far as far as 21 games out of ist place.
I care about the budget about has much as JH does about the fan who has to pay the highest priced tickets in MLB, and out of the kindness of his heart he increased the tickets even more next year.
I’m not a Kraft fan, or even a Pats fan for that matter, and I agree with what you say, but the point be is that to some no one gets a lifetime pass, and that includes JH.
No lifetime pass is right, and like I’ve mentioned before Bob Kraft of the Pats is a good example of that, and JH is not in his class. It may be the same JH, but the game, and money being thrown around may have passed Henry bye. Having a $200M+ payroll today is not the same thing as it was in 2018.
I think a lot has changed even since 2018. The signings the Red Sox did in the past like Sale, Price, CC, Agon, and even Manny would not be done today, and maybe that’s a good thing, because the money part has gone up so far out of whack.
Wasn’t Manny handed over to a new regime? A new owner I believe would want to have good players locked up. If he’s got money to buy the club he’s got lots of money to spend. You’d be buying the Red Sox. Not the Pirates.
That’s what I’ve been saying since he was hired in Boston. There is a big difference between being in the nerd room with all the analytics sheets, and being the front man. I still cling to he misread the room badly on Bogey, and we all saw the results, and better yet the dumbfounded look on his face.
