  1. The picture I saw Boris had a big smile on his face, so it must have been a good one.
  2. Only time will tell on who’s right, and who’s wrong on this, and it will be proven on the field, and not on SoxTalk.
  3. I said I ragged on Kike so let’s get that straight. You always have someone bashing someone like Bloom all the time. I didn’t switch anything, but just as a matter of fact that I think that the Red Sox would be better off with Beni in the lineup than Kike.
  4. After all is said, and done I hope he does work out, and is worthy of the xtra tip the Red Sox have given Boris on this signing.
  5. Yes I agree DD made a good trade. The extension not so good.
  6. Trolling you? You troll yourself, because you are so hung up on Kike, and it’s quite hilarious to watch. The Red Sox would be better off with Beni then they would with Kike.
  7. The point being Suzuki wasn’t worth the hype last year, and there is also the possibility that Yoshida won’t be worth the hype this year.
  8. What does this have to do with who’s doing the stealing?
  9. What part of Yoshida hasn’t played in the majors don’t you understand? Yoshida’s consistency in Japan was in Japan.
  10. Your welcome!
  11. I brought up the others in another conversation, but you just lumped them together, and I was just agreeing that everybody signs bad contracts that don’t workout that I’ve not disagreed about, but every situation is different, and so is playing in Boston that makes things difficult, and different to some. If Yoshida works out I’ll be the first to pat Bloom on the back, and say I was wrong like I did with Wacha, but if things don’t work out I’ll be the first to open the door, and slam the door shut, on Bloom’s way out of town. Seems fair to me.
  12. Suzuki wasn’t worth the hype, or the money this past year, which is a better more recent example.
  13. If Kike plays like 2021 it’s a steal, but on the other hand if Kike plays like 2022 it’s Kike doing the stealing. Time will tell who does the stealing.
  14. Did they pay any of those $100M+ to start with? They didn’t even offer Bogey $100M last offseason.
  15. You still haven’t figured it out that I only rag on Kike, because he his your boy toy, and I just don’t value him nowhere’s near as high as you do. .
  16. My clear, and obvious point in the first place was Yoshida has done nothing in MLBaseball, and Rusney was just another example of the same who turned out to be a bust, and Beni who has done plenty in MLBaseball most likely will continue to do so. Might not be to his standard in his earlier days with Boston, but we shall see. Like I say repeatedly it’s always someone else missing the point with you, and never you missing the point, or as you try to say. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  17. I never said it counted the same for everyone, and I didn’t say it’s the only thing that counts, but that’s how I look at it, and that bothers some. I think they overpaid, and that bothers some too. That’s my opinion, and I’m sticking to it.
  18. That we agree on, and to get more spending money this year JH upped ticket prices.
  19. Yes that is, but you left out the one I mentioned last, which was good old Rusney, and that’s also a fact, and Rusney didn’t meet you narrative, so until Yoshida proves his worth to me he’s not much better than RUSNEY you know the one you conveniently left out.
  20. I already knew all of that, but because Henry didn’t do any of that doesn’t mean he couldn’t if he wanted to.
  21. That’s what DD did with Sale, and Someone did with the Panda, and someone did with CC, so I guess you are right, and let’s no forget Rusney.
  22. It still comes down to Yoshida has done nothing, or proven anything in the Major Leagues, and that’s a fact. Now if, and when he does something that will change, and we’ll be see if that $100M+ was money well spent. I’m hoping it does for the Red Sox sake, but you on the other hand are hoping it does for the Red Sox sake, and for Bloom’s sake.
  23. Once again a wrong conclusion that pointing something out is not complaining. How do you know Henry is not a bottomless pit?
  24. Bogey was a different breed compared to Lester, Raffy, and Mookie, so I wouldn’t look to much into him wanting to stay here, and comparing him to the other 3. Raffy has seen the spending sprees go wild this year, and I think he wants in on the action then he will most likely get more somewhere else.
  25. We do agree on the LF/DH should have been down on the importance list, and a RF with a power bat should have been a much greater need, and of course the always needed pitching, pitching, and more pitching.
