  1. I’m sure he’s already passed in word count.
  2. Like I said earlier if the Red Sox want to win more games just get better. I don’t want to see less games with the Yankees. Too much has been made of last year when the Red Sox sucked against the Div. The year before though the Red Sox had a winning record against the Yankees, and hosted a playoff game against them. Don’t look for an easier path, and an easier schedule just get better, and things will take care of themselves.
  3. Option #2 looks better.
  4. You’re right! My goof.
  5. Now I’m with you on the realignment.
  6. What was the big reason for hating Cora?
  7. Not at all just going a little more regional.
  8. Wow! I was one who said I wouldn’t have hired Cora back, and I like Cora.
  9. Dinosaurs? Now if you wanted to realign baseball I’m in. How about a Div of Sox, Yankees, Mets Toronto, Phillies, and Pittsburgh?
  10. I don’t think most people would have said anyone hated Cora in the first place.
  11. I second the motion.
  12. Maybe a participation trophy next?
  13. Have you always felt this way, or is it, because the Red Sox sucked big time against the Div last year, and I heard the gee if we played in a different Div we wouldn’t have been in last place. Well we don’t play in a different Div, and we did finish in last place. How did the Red Sox do against the Div in 2021 when I didn’t hear any complaints. Didn’t the Red Sox beat the Yankees head to head, and got the home playoff game, because of it? You don’t know why I would rather play the Yankees 19 games instead of 13 games? Like I said get better if you want to win more games. That’s how I see it.
  14. Good question!
  15. Myself as a fan I don’t want to see an easier schedule. To me it’s pretty simple if you want to win more games Get Better. I would rather see the Red Sox, and Yankees play 19 times than 13 times. This is a lot different Red Sox team this year compared to last years team, and it doesn’t mean the Red Sox would have sucked against the Div again this year.
  16. Any year they don’t make the postseason to me is a wasted year, and a failure like last year was.
  17. I agree the Red Sox don’t look like a playoff contender, and in the process of looking that way after a losing last place in the Div finish the Red Sox raised ticket prices to watch, and to me also not being a playoff contender would be a waste of one of Raffy’s Prime years.
  18. Good summation. I don’t think the new balance schedule will help the team at all, because they will be picking up more good teams that will offset not playing the Yankees, and Toronto as much. The FA the Sox picked up plus Yoshida are a big wish, and hope that they will do better than JD, and Bogey last year, and this year. Anything more than Sale even if healthy being more than a 500 pitcher will be a plus.
  19. There is no way to know if the 2023 version of the Boston Red Sox will be better, or worse than the 2022 version. That’s why the games will be played. The 2023 version is certainly a different team, and Story being out definitely does not help things, but after all the injuries, and lack of production last year I don’t see the 2023 team as being worse. If anything the BP should be an improvement over last year, and the rest we’ll just have to see.
  20. I agree, and I think there is a little misconception that because the Red Sox won’t be playing so many games in the division they will be better off. Some of the games that would have been played in the Div will now be played against other good teams that they wouldn’t have played before, so it’s just not that cut, and dry that the Red Sox will be better off with a different schedule this year.
  21. Trading for JBJ was not selling high, and it cost more to do it. This was a head scratcher before, during, and after it failed.
  22. What about all the emphasis on D in the OF like when they brought JBJ back? Plus the concern of Dugo being able to play RF good enough.
  23. Seiya. Got off to a good start, but tailed off, and had some injuries.
  24. I’m more concerned how Yoshida handles playing that LF wall than his bat to start the season.
  25. A couple of months? I’d give him a couple of years before I’d make any kind of judgement just like Suzuki.
