  1. I think that Yoshida getting most of his AB at the WBC is a good thing. He’ll face better pitching than he will in most of ST.
  2. So they have to be a WS winner to be your favorite team? Sorry I disagree.
  3. No doubt 2004 was the best Red Sox moment in our lifetime.
  4. Ok we disagree. I know the 1967 team didn’t end up winning the WS, but when you’ve younger you see things differently. The team was young, and mostly homegrown, and of course there was Yaz. I understand 2004 ended the long suffering drought, but it’s just my opinion that 1967 was my favorite team. By the way 1975 was my second favorite team.
  5. 1967 my favorite Red Sox team of all time, and the start of Red Sox Nation. Look I believe most fans only care about the here, and now. Why do you think JH was boo’d on two separate occasions when he showed his face in public?
  6. Like I’ve said the 4 WS wins don’t make the last place finishes alright.
  7. Forever? A new season hasn’t even started yet, and 2022 is the last year on record. A good start, and a trip to the postseason in 2023 would alleviate that, but a repeat of 2022 would just be a continuation of a bad pattern. I’m hoping for a postseason trip myself, but that’s far from a certainty.
  8. And if everything works out it will be I told you so, and 1 yr to late.
  9. I don’t remember anyone saying not having a good BP was the Main Reason the team sucked. It was A reason among injuries, and lack of production from the big boppers, so if the BP does well, and the team still sucks I would pretty much assume that that the blame will go to whatever, or whoever fails. It won’t be a big mystery.
  10. No it wouldn’t shock me at all if the Red Sox end up worse than last year, but it’s just my point that the goal every year is to make the postseason. I think the pitching going into the season looks better than last year especially the BP, but I don’t think the batting order looks as good as last year going into the season. I don’t see the schedule being any easier this year even though they will be playing less games against the Div.Playing more better teams that you normally wouldn’t be playing will offset that to some degree.
  11. 2021 went better than expected, and 2022 didn’t go as well as expected, and like I’ve repeatedly said that anything less than a winning record, and a trip to the postseason is a failure. This year, last year, or any year.
  12. Skills, but older skills now. When was the last time Sale was a #1, or Ace pitcher 2018?
  13. Not only on the older side, but even if healthy what can you really expect from, Sale, Paxton, and Kluber?
  14. If Turner is the backup 1B/3B to start he season there is no place, or no need for Bobby D to start the season with the Red Sox. He would benefit to being down at AAA getting AB, and working on whatever D position you want to try him.
  15. Definitely not. I hope the Red Sox learned their lesson last year with Franchy at 1B, or Arroyo in RF. I do think Bobby D would be better than these two, but not a a legit fill in outside of a game.
  16. To me anything less than a winning record, and a trip to the postseason is as Sam Kennedy called this past season a failure by all.
  17. I’m counting on him being in Portland in early June.
  18. Maybe the reason is I’ve had the common decency, and common sense to take a break, and give everyone else a break, but I noticed reading all the post not everyone did the same thing. Of course they would have to know they did something wrong first. I call things as I see em, and one in particular just can’t stand that, and thinks he’s the judge of what’s right, and wrong. After 60+ years of watching, listening, and reading Al kinds of sports venues I Never seen anything, or anyone like this, and I’m sure he’s been that way since he’s been on here. You told me once that you have put him on timeout, and that’s not surprising at all. All kinds of fans boo’d JH on two separate times in public, and boo’d Bloom once too. Are those bad fans, and do they hate JH, and Bloom? No!, and No! Of course when you analyze every single letter of every single word to try, and come up with the meaning, and then get it wrong more times than not who else does that? Nothing wrong in my view to repeat nicknames that I all heard from somebody else. I don’t need any more innings to say he’s Stinkin Winkin any more than I did Jeter, Franchy, Seabold, or Duran The Butterfly Man. If other do than that’s fine. Like I said on an earlier post there should have been suspensions, and then probations handed out for the relentlessly back, and forth nonsense, and at least I took time off. I’ve been a Red Sox fan for 65 years, and I will continue to be one, and NO One will tell me I can’t, and that’s the bottom line.
  19. I agree 100%.Suspensions should be handed out to BOTH sides, and then a probation period on a return.
  20. Once again your standard operating procedure. Predictable as always. You think deflecting the blame from Bloom to DD it takes the emphasis, and blame off Bloom, and puts it on DD. You have done this 1028 times now to no avail, but you keep trying anyway. It’s already been established more than once that each previous GM have had their share of bad blunders, but Bloom is on year 4 now, and has had more than his share of blunders, and will get blamed accordingly. Keep blaming DD all you want, because obviously it makes you feel better, but it doesn’t change a thing.
  21. #1 I have been a Red Sox fan longer than you, and will continue to be a Red Sox fan longer than you. You call yourself a super fan for what, because you write the longest, and most post everyday? You a such a super fan that you row, row, rowed your boat last year bailing on the Red Sox where I stayed with the Red Sox rightto the bitter end. Super fan MA. It’s funny, but I’ve been a Red Sox fan for 65 yrs, or so, and I’ve never been called an awful rotten to the core fan. Just on here. I have all kinds of respect for the Red Sox, but have NONE for Gloom, and Doom Bloom, and you can’t stand that. TDB. This is the second time you’ve told me to go be a fan of someone else. I don’t know who you think you are, but thinking you are KSOTI means something , but nothing of any significance, or importance.
  22. Keep grasping for those straws that the numbers won’t be correct. It seems that all you got.
  23. I’ll stick with the others thank you very much.
  24. Oh to live in my little corner of the world. How tidy.
  25. But then again maybe it does.
