  1. Well said. Like I’ve also been saying for some time now that I believe most Red Sox fans mostly care about here, and now. Here, and now, and here, and now.
  2. No one knows whose theory is right, but I’ll stick with mine. If the Red Sox would have offered at least 6/150 last offseason I’d had no problem with it, but the asinine offer they came out with is a cluster all the way around. The
  3. Still going with the theory that top brass did not think Bogey was worth the lowest price Boris would take at any point when the other theory, which I believe was more plausible is that Bloom misread the room so bad on what Bogey was really worth. Protect Bloom at all cost.
  4. I think we both know the answer to that question? The Red Sox would be a lot better off to have kept Bogey, and got rid of Bloom.
  5. It’s not weird for someone in over their head, and being the front man for the first time.
  6. Wow! You still think Perez, and Richards still rank as Bloom’s biggest mistakes. I haven’t heard anyone else say that, but your entitled to your opinion.
  7. To think Bloom’s 3 biggest failures are Renfroe, Richards, and Perez are a big problem in itself. No wander blaming Bloom isn’t as bad as it should be to some.
  8. If I had a $ for every time I’ve heard Bloom was hired to trade Betts, so he is not to blame, and operate under a strict budget, so he is not to blame, and get no help from the farm, so he is not to blame I would have had enough money to pay Bogey’s SD salary. While all those things may be true that in no way takes the blame away from Bloom for the state of the Red Sox as a losing, non competitive team. Bloom has sat around for 3 years, and did nothing about the Bogey, and Raffy contract situations, and no i don’t want to hear about the non competitive contract offers he has made. Bloom traded away a 96 RBI man with 2 arb years left for someone who couldn’t hit his weight, and had to be released. Not to mention he was more expensive. Bloom sat around for at least two months, and did nothing about the circus at 1B, and CF that cost the team more than just embarrassment. The trade deadline comes, and Bloom twiddled, and diddled, and stayed above the dreaded lux tax. The more I hear Bloom isn’t to blame the more I Blame him, because to me he is to blame, because he is the one in charge. I for one don’t want a 1 yr rebuild let alone anything longer than that. The farm is higher ranked, so great for that, but who does the team have left to build around? Story? Yoshida? Bogey, Mookie, and Raffy should be the ones built around, but looks like all will be gone, and hopefully all come back to haunt the Red Sox for the rest of their careers.
  9. I agree on most of the blame, but still Bloom has had 3 years to work on all of this. I like to be a fly on the wall to hear some of the conversations that have happened between Bloom, Kennedy, and JH on all of this.
  10. I think Bloom is at that damm third option in that fork in the road again when it comes to Raffy. Sign him, and pay maybe $100M more than last off season, which I’m sure JH doesn’t want to do. Trade him, and feel the raft of Red Sox fans for losing Bogey, and Raffy in the same offseason, or just let Raffy play out his last year in Boston, which I think will happen. Once again Bloom has had 3 years to work on this, and has chosen not to.
  11. The best Christmas present JH could give the Red Sox Nation right now would be to sell the team to someone who wants to play ball. JH usefulness has come, and gone. Thanks for the memories (4) championships, but what have you done for me since 2018? Losing 3 homegrown future HOF is unacceptable. Lumps of coal to the season ticket holders on the way out. What a way to go.
  12. We know JH used to listen to talk shows. I’m sure all his minions know what’s being said.
  13. If range is what you want yes. More topics are discussed on here than other places.
  14. To me it’s about do you want to live in a small town, or a big town? Do you want a small sample size, or a big sample size? Could be quite different. For myself I like to get as many different opinions I can get. Others not so much.
  15. A floor, and a ceiling would be nice, but at least a floor.
  16. At least just the only time he was caught.
  17. Except for the catcher well said. Not only were Bogey, and Raffy proven, but proven in Boston, and that’s not an easy task.
  18. I agree, and yes I’ll rip Bloom, but I just don’t believe they will do it. I’ve been saying for a year that Bloom has had 3 years to work on all this stuff, and I’ve been consistent that I would have traded Raffy last offseason if they wasn’t going to sign him.
  19. I agree it’s worst for the long run, but I can’t see them getting rid of Bogey, and Raffy at the same time.
  20. I still believe the Red Sox will ride out this season with Raffy, and deal with him, and what comes with it next offseason, and hope somehow he’ll help the team stay competitive, or better, and spread out the anger from Bogey to him, and not all at once next year.
  21. Even Sam Kennedy said winning a WS will appease the fans. not having the #1 system. The record of the Boston Red Sox I believe is what most fans cares about the most, and not whose on the 40 man, or if the farm ranking is better. It’s nice if those things are better, but to most not all that important.
  22. And that’s why I say prospects are just suspects until they produce in a Red Sox uniform, or are traded for someone who does.
  23. I get what you are saying, but Bloom is the lightning rod for the Red Sox, and while I may be critical of him I’m pretty mild compared to what’s being said in, and on different venues. I did praise Bloom, and said he did do a good job at the start of FA with the additions to the BP, so it hasn’t been all bad.
  24. I know some disagree, but I think my opinion is based on the angst of reality, and I don’t see anything getting better with this JH, and Bloom at the helm. Lord forbid Bloom try’s to get something good out of trading Raffy.
  25. I taking a wild guess here that it might just possibly be the evaluator.
