  1. By the time he gets back there might not be much time left.
  2. Exactly.
  3. 100%. Bloom acted like he spoke though.
  4. Like I said yesterday Casas isn’t close to being ready, and who knows what you’ll get from him when he does come back.
  5. I didn’t say he said he was out. I said I didn’t think they wanted to do anything. He mentioned about picking a lane a few weeks ago, but lately his jargon has been he’s still evaluating, and still has decided which fork in the road to take. If he hasn’t decided yet that is not a good sign to me IMO.
  6. Brez will take center stage soon. What he does when he gets there is the big question. There is definitely need for at least 1 starting pitcher, but then again there is always that need. Listening to the jargon that Brez has been throwing out there recently I don’t think he really wants to do anything at all, so we’ll see if he gets stage fright, and stays behind the curtain, or does something, and come out, and get a curtain call.
  7. I don’t think most teams have a FT DH, but it’s worked out pretty good for the Red Sox through the years.
  8. The best 2B the last 3-4 years was Story in 2022.
  9. Grissom looked to be the best chance of respectability? Was that, because of his bat, because he hadn’t proved anything with the glove.
  10. It is. Casas is NOT close to being ready.
  11. Agree on him not being an ideal DH, but as long as that contract keeps him on the team I don’t see much of a change unless he really goes into a bad NOshida mode.
  12. No one is talking about either, but I’m just not counting on Casas coming back, and just producing right away, and I don’t think anyone should.
  13. The Red Sox haven’t really done to much of that going back to Cepeda.
  14. How deep they are depends on Mayer, and Story.
  15. Yoshida is the DH as usual. Cora hasn’t played Abreu pretty much all year against a LHP, so I don’t see that happening the rest of the year unless injuries pop up, and especially when he’s been struggling like he is now.
  16. You keep being hooked on the $10M saved from trading Sale that went to Gio whom I don’t believe would have been signed without the Sale deal happening.
  17. What looks good on paper doesn’t always transfer to the field.
  18. Casas is nowhere close to being ready, and who knows what you’ll get out of him when he comes back, because he usually starts out slow as it is. DHam, and Romy have contributed, but are you comfortable with them in a pennant race? Raf Man has handled SS somewhat, but would be better FT in CF.
  19. The pitching hasn’t been nowhere near as good at home as it’s been on the road either.
  20. DH? Against LHP at the very least.
  21. Your right, and $12M is out of the Red Sox price range.
  22. I saw Nico Hoerner mentioned the other day.
  23. 2022 was fine with Bogey at SS, and Story at 2B.
  24. I’m not faulting Cora either. I just would have taken Bello out after five when he had already thrown 90 pitches, and the score was 11-2 just to save some bullets in that arm. I would have done the same thing if it had been Houck, or the Kut Man. I’ll pull a Moon, and say I don’t agree with what Cora did, but I’m saying he was wrong.
  25. Wasted bullets to me, and not to mention Bello kept hitting himself beside the head after he finally got taken out. It’s not like he’s fragile, or anything. The Yuckers in the NESN booth mentioned his actions. It didn’t help his thinking to say it mildly.
