  1. Raf Man has been more than fine at SS despite your stats that you obviously need over watching the games, and the comments from many observers.
  2. It just amazes me that some on here don’t comprehend what the game thread is, and many times a narrative of the game on a bat by bat, or pitch to pitch basis, and can change on 1 pitch. Going off the rails like making out like the sky is falling after a 4 game losing streak can be silly and bad just like saying before the season why make the postseason, because the team won’t go anywhere anyway, which is, and was a loser attitude can also be considered silly, and bad. Going off the so called rails, and having bad opinions has been done by everyone.
  3. Not when someone gets judged on a game to game, or pitch to pitch basis like a game thread does, so that’s a BIG no.
  4. Wow! After one game you’ve come to the conclusion that the sky was falling after all. Must have put your finger up in the air to see, which way the wind was blowing. Welcome back Max, but not all of us had thrown in the towel after the four losses on July 23 with 60+ games left in the season, and only 4 games back of the Yankees in the loss column, and even closer than that to the two teams above them.
  5. I was talking about being the stopper for just yesterday’s game, and nothing else, and I would say he plugged things very well. As usual way over analyzing things on here, and as usual getting things wrong. If nothing else he stopped the BP from to much more exposure that had helped the Red Sox watch 3 wins go down the drain in the late innings.🤭🙈
  6. Happy 20th anniversary to Arod getting a good taste of Tek’s catcher’s mitt. I t couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
  7. What’s interesting about losing 4 games 29-21? Throw in a 6-0 win, and the combined score looks close. Shows me the pitching isn’t all that good, and no matter how you analyze it, or add it up it still adds up to a 1-4 record.
  8. No ONE is exempt from criticism on the game tread. EVERYONE should know that, and hoping, or thinking it is, or should be, and it bothers them so much should just not read them.Gloom, and Doom can start on 1 pitch. From Joe Castig. Can You Believe IT?
  9. Why would you possibly think O’Neil has silenced any of his so called critics? He’s hit some HR on the current road trip, and may even hit some more, but then he’ll go back being K Man for long stretches of games. He’s just like YOshida who can go from GOshida to NOshida from game to game, and even pitch to pitch just as your Hero Raffy who can be Devers Forever one game, and Never Devers the next, so it’s GO’Neil, or NO’Neil depending on what streak he’s on, and will be judged accordingly, so No he hasn’t silenced anyone in the BIG scheme of game threads, but thanks for asking.
  10. The Red Sox put a little bandage on that four game gaping wound last night, and hopefully it heals better today. Remember BIG Brother Brez is watching it.
  11. As I’ve said before you don’t have to wait for the dance to start to get a dance partner. Time is wasted, and losses from three out of the last 4 games are a result.
  12. I don’t believe Abreu could be the best OF the Red Sox could have, and they need more RHB.
  13. I didn’t say he didn’t have value, but just not the kind that Moon thinks he has .
  14. I don’t think Abreu is going to bring you a real good anything unless he’s part of a package.
  15. Criswell to the rescue! Stopper, or not?
  16. I know you need a trading partner, but as the last 4 games has shown the BP needs help NOW. 3 losses late in the game when you had the lead. Don’t wait for another week, and watch more losses pile up, so if you’re going to make a move make it now.
  17. Physically, or mental swings?
  18. I think it’s the big panic before the trade deadline.
  19. I don’t know anything about it. I just looked up a trade grade, and that was the first that popped up.
  20. Pretty much every move in sports gets graded at the time it happens, and I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Even in fantasy.
  21. Fansided graded the Astros with a B+, and the Red Sox a C+ at the time. Graded now that could be flipped around.
  22. It doesn’t matter now on how it affected the ball club at that time, but it did at the time in the clubhouse This is an example of a trade grade that went up over time.
  23. Bogey, and Raffy were two players who didn’t like the trade.
  24. I think the players had a harder time with it than the fans did.
  25. Everything gets pretty much graded from draft picks to trades to FA signings. It’s just the nature of the beast. Grades can always go up, or down, and usually do with time.
