  1. That’s Moon’s normal thought process. Sell, sell, sell to get more suspects.
  2. Sale most likely has plenty of bullets left in that arm.
  3. I can’t imagine that Brez would look for that third option in that fork in the road like Bloom did.
  4. JH insisting on the Red Sox selling? Why now? He obviously hasn’t done it the last two years.
  5. The World Champion Boston Celtics were just put up for sale today. Could JH, and FSG add the Celtics to his portfolio?
  6. As always thanks for clarifying all of this Max.
  7. I don’t expect much from Casas coming back at least for awhile. He’s a slow starter as is, and he’ll have been out a long time when he comes back.
  8. Interesting that Toronto would have to add to the trade for Vlad-Casas straight up.
  9. Just a thought, or suggestion, but thanks for responding. Just throwing things out there that to me is better than the usual constant selling off of Jansen, Martin, Pivetta, or O’Neill talk.
  10. If you read my original post I said JH would have to open up his checkbook to get JR extended, so it was never going to be a 4 years vs 1.
  11. Casas would be part of the Vlad JR trade.
  12. Already known, and I should have clarified, but I was talking about the big 3. Once again thanks for chipping in.
  13. I don’t think they sign Gio without trading Sale, so that amounts to around $35M compared to just keeping Sale at $27M.
  14. Let’s get some good trade talk going. Vlad JR is rumored to be on the block. Let’s go big, and get him. Casas, and a high draft pick, or two. No sense in playing around with rentals. Get JH to open up his checkbook to extend him, and watch him, and Raffy hit back to back, and hammer away. Now that sounds like fun.
  15. When I first heard about the trade I didn’t know the Red Sox were paying Atlanta $17M, but after learning about the $17M it didn’t make sense to me financially when I thought the Red Sox were watching what came out of JH wallet.
  16. I keep hearing about $10M that was saved, but paying Gio $18M, and Sale $17M doesn’t seem like a savings to me.
  17. Number 1 it’s not an argument much to you trying to make it one. Just theories being thrown out there. Maybe Gio was just practicing to be a HR derby pitcher with the coincidence that he was going through a divorce. At any rate Brez saw fit to pay him $38M. What a deal. As always so nice to hear from you.🤫
  18. The difference is that I said most likely after the fact long after he had surgery where you did it in real time when he was signed, and before surgery was needed. The divorce theory was just what some wanted it to be instead of a physical problem on why Gio was pitching HR derby. All for the low, low price of $38M🙈🤭🤮
  19. Your welcome! Your diagnosis was he was going through a divorce, so how long did you examine Gio?
  20. Obviously Brez liked Gio pretty much.
  21. I will add that NOT being buyers might add to the chances of having another failing season next year, or more also. It doesn’t suck to entertain the idea of buying to get better for the here, and now, and also next year.
  22. The funny part too is that some on here just brushed off Gio’s bad second half collapse on personal problems, when most likely his arm was failing, and now the Red Sox on on the hoof for $38M for Gio, and $17M for Sale. Burnt to a Crisp.
  23. A pretty good month of June going 15-10, and right in the think of things for a wildcard spot. What is holding the Red Sox back somewhat is their play at Fenway where they have a losing record. Have a month in July like they did in June, and that Wildcard spot could be theirs, and yes I know it would be a disappointment to some to not be sellers, and bring back some more suspects, but to actually do some buying. That would really put Brez in a tough spot on what to do, but wheel, and deal to me would be a lot more fun than to do nothing, or worst sell. I know on here prying away some prospects would be like pulling teeth, and real painful to some, but if the Red Sox play winning ball in July you’ll just have to endure the pain, because playing in October would be fun for a change, and most important the here, and now is what it’s all about.
  24. Let’s not leave out that he also had good D behind him.
