  1. Is this something like a steal on the Voice? Will there be an award presentation at the end of the year?👏
  2. It’s just more, or less wishful thinking since the Red Sox are real thin at the C position.
  3. In all seriousness if this new coach can come in, and do something that Tek hasn’t been able to do, which is make Wong a better catcher than great. I think it’s highly unlikely. Outside of his notebooks I think Tek does know a little bit about catching, so anything is possible. As for Hav Nav what other options do the Red Sox have at this point? Can he be the steal of the winter that MOON asked? I Very seriously doubt it, but like I asked there isn’t a whole lot to choose from with what’s on the roster at the moment? Some on here were excited when the Red Sox got McGuire, and Teel was supposed to be the next big thing.
  4. Lots of expectations put on this guy to be the steal of the winter. I bet he doesn’t even know he has a fan club already. All aboard!
  5. The steal of the winter on a backup/3rd string catcher! I can hardly wait until the season starts, and this guy is unleashed on MLB.🤫
  6. Maybe the new guy can work wonders? Hav Nav could be the steal of the Winter? All for a backup, or 3rd string catcher. Big concern on Hav Nav is his inconsistent framing higher in the strike zone, which regressed last year. Definitely not a good sign.
  7. Seeing that the Red Sox are razor thin at the C position I don’t think this was surprising at all, so to be worth having isn’t that high a bar. I don’t think the Red Sox are pulling off a fast one over the Yankees.🤫
  8. Ok we’ll go with that, which makes the possibilities endless. You can go wrong with Wong, and Have Nav may end up to being the best Red Sox catching tandem since Bob Tillman, and Jim Pagliaroni.
  9. If I wasn’t excited before I certainly am now that this new catching instructor is going to get the best out of Wong that Tek couldn’t do, and if that’s not enough Narvaez will be lights out too. Of course I remember when some were excited when the Sox got McGuire to HANDle things.
  10. I don’t have any expectations of the top 3 suspects making the team out of ST let alone playing a full season. I also don’t see Anthony playing LF. I certainly wouldn’t project what they would do in their Rookie year either.🙈
  11. More times than not these things tend to work themselves out. I’m not counting on Gio to even be ready come opening day, so I think it’s a long shot that you have 6 healthy arms anyway. It’s a long season, and more than 6 starters will most likely be used along the way, so they’ll be plenty of opportunities to most likely to go around.
  12. Pivetta would not be signed to be used out of the pen, Pivetta over Bello? Bello will not be going to the pen either.🙈🤭
  13. Not everyone can , or likes to DH, so no one really knows the affect it would have on Raffy, Casas, or anyone else. This is the first time I mentioned the bats overcoming poor fielding. I was talking about how things are done now, and why no changes have been made up to this point, and not if Bregman, or anyone else was added.
  14. As I’ve said many times before when you, or others have suggested defensive changes. Up to this point for good, or for worse the Red Sox don’t see the defensive struggles even though Cora, and others have mentioned the struggles many times as being a big enough problem to do anything about it, and just keep playing the hand they have dealt themselves defensively, and hope the bats will be good enough to to overcome it.
  15. Ref Man played 37 games in RF last year, and started 20 of them. I don’t see any change in that this year Fenway, or not unless other outfielders are added to the present roster. I also see the RAF Man as the FT primary CF.
  16. I heard yesterday that the Red Sox are 28th in MLB in payroll to revenue, so that sounds right to what you are saying.
  17. Tek has been there. What new coaches are going to improve Wong?🤭 Remember Wong CAN be Wrong.🙈
  18. You don’t think injuries played a big part in the record last year? I don’t see where ANYONE said last year was a reason to feel optimistic about anything. I’m just saying wait to see what the final 26 looks like. Injuries could happen in ST, and it may even look worse than it does now.
  19. I’ll say the same thing I said last year. Wait until opening day to see how things look.
  20. What new coaches will help Wong improve on D? If Tek can’t help him then he probably can’t be helped.
  21. It’s hard to predict with all the injuries of the past few years. What would the team been like last year if Story, Casas, and Whit would have been healthy last year? Raffy’s shoulder was bothering him on the first road trip last year.
