  1. Kluber must still be out there.
  2. Just, because you have numbers doesn’t necessarily means you really have depth.
  3. The Phillies, and Baltimore have made a trade with Hayes going to Philly, and the O’s getting some BP in Dominguez from the Phillies.
  4. Let’s bring back rich Hill, and go to a 7 man rotation.
  5. There has been needless discussion on this, because the problem has existed all year long just as it was the previous 2 years. Problems lead to discussions, and there are still problems. Paxton to rescue?
  6. There was depth issues before Gio got hurt as the last three years has shown. It appears Brez didn’t get that memo.
  7. The fact is they didn’t keep Sale, and the Red Sox Now have to add pitching, because subbing Gio for Sale as Bell has said many times did nothing to the depth of the rotation.
  8. I’m going by what was said on the Dodgers site True Blue LA.
  9. The Red Sox will pay the $1.4M remaining on Paxton’s contract.
  10. This is just a meh deal. We will just have to wait, and see what else is done. Paxton is at least another arm at this point, but more is need.
  11. Well Pax is an arm, and a LHP at that, but how much help he’ll be well just have to find out. He hasn’t been all that good especially of late. Last 4 games 17.2 innings- 25 hits- 17 ER allowed.
  12. According to Passan it’s a DONE deal! Details to come.
  13. And they not only helped themselves now, but down the road as well.
  14. Most likely the Dodgers are discussing a trade for Paxton with more than just the Red Sox. The spoils go to the highest bidder.
  15. For those of you who likes grades of a trade the Mariners get a BIG A, and the Rays get a B. Good trade for the Mariners.
  16. Another good outing from the Sale Man last night. 7.1 innings, 2 er, 2 hits, and 9 K’s.
  17. Good for Seattle, and Arizona. You don’t have to wait until next week to make trades.
  18. There are so many teams still in contention for a wildcard spot, so it will not only be price point, but lots of competition.
  19. Exactly, and he’s going to have plenty of company who wants to do the same thing, so it’s not going to be easy.
  20. The Brez has supposedly now picked a lane, so now we’ll get to he how fast, and how far he’s willing to go.
  21. Big mo can swing in a hurry in both directions with 1 swing of a bat. Masa hitting a HR against the Yankees, and Freeman hitting a HR against the Red Sox, so it could go either way this weekend.
  22. The future should be now first, and not next year, or the year after. Here’s a thought how about doing both at the same time? There seems to be a misconception on here that you have to do one of the other.
  23. That has been the battle cry on here for the last three years at least that I know of.
  24. A win of a 20-7 score, or a loss by the same score only counts as 1 game in the standings, and doesn’t count for anything the next game. The Yankees are in town, and taking 2-3 from them will talk some fans down off the ledge just like the night before when the Red Sox shutout the Rockies for their only win on the trip. It’s still only July 24, and there are 60 games to go, and most likely securing a postseason berth will go right down to the last of those 60 games.
  25. I would rather try to improve our chances this year 2024, and worry about 2025, and beyond after this season is over. If the chances for 2024 can be improved along with 2025, and beyond all the better, but improving the chances for 2024 are owed to all Red Sox personnel in that clubhouse IMO.
