  1. No! I’m just saying there should be no untouchables in a trade to improve the club. You have a problem with that Agent Bell, because you have an attachment to Duran, which I do not. Last year you were an Agent for Monty, and this year it’s Duran, and don’t try to stretch things like you did yesterday, and say I said there was a Guaranteed replacement for Duran if he gets traded. I don’t give a damm on who goes, and who stays as long as the Red Sox get better. That’s all. Nothing more, and nothing less.
  2. No Agent Bell selling high would be to improve the club. Whatever it takes to Improve the pitching, which will improve the club. No untouchables, and that includes Duran, and that includes Raffy. The Red Sox are not going out, and sign any high priced FA IMO, so trading is the cheapest way to go. The Red Sox have finished out of the postseason 3 years in a row with Duran, and with Raffy, so let’s make some trades to try, and improve. Get better, and then you might get richer. Win, win for everyone.
  3. Not a chance of a phone call even being made.
  4. No! Hunter Brown, and who, and how many others?🤮
  5. Is it as simple as that, or would it be more complicated than that? How many other moves would have to be made to make that happen even if the Red Sox wanted to try it? All those questions should be asked, and answered, because it makes all the difference in the big scheme of things, which I’m guessing has something to do with why it hasn’t happened. Lots of moving parts.
  6. It would be accurate to say Cora, and the front office DO NOT see the D as a big enough problem to make drastic changes to fix. After 3 years you’ve finally figured that out. What took you so long?🙈 Make all the suggestions, and ideas you want though, and maybe get a suggestion box, and the suggestions can be gathered, and sent to Brez.
  7. It doesn’t bother me to hear your suggestions, opinions, or predictions. All I’m doing is pointing out the obvious that the Red Sox are not doing any of the above, haven’t done any of the above, and most likely are not going to do any of the above. Why? You’d have to ask them. I’m not even saying any of the above is not good ideas, but what’s obvious to me is the D may be a concern to Cora, and Brez, but not so much that they will make big changes to fix it. Going on 3 years now is more than obvious.
  8. It’s not a question of if they should at all, which is what I keep trying to explain to you guys, but for some reason, or reasons they continue to do so. Ideas, suggestions, or predictions on here don’t translate to the Red Sox brain trust who are the ones who make the decisions, or don’t make the decisions to fix the D. Ask them why not, because I can’t give you the answer only that they haven’t made any changes to fix the D, which continues to be pretty evident.
  9. The Red Sox have had no problem picking up a RHH OF the last three years who have given them production for a year at a time, so I don’t see them spending a lot of money on one now.
  10. Everyone knows that Raffy is a bad 3B. Everyone knows that Casa is not a good 1B. Everyone knows that Masa is not a good LF, and overpriced as a DH. The eye test tells you all this. You can throw out all these stats that I’m sure the Red Sox brain trust knows too. Everyone gets it, and everyone knows the D has to get better for the team to get better. Everyone knows, everyone knows, and everyone knows. Like I keep saying though is that the Red Sox have dealt themselves this hand, and continue to play the same hand. Look at all the things the Red Sox have tried, and all the moves Cora makes in game, and D is not even a thought on what the outcome will be. Cora has said for three years now that the D has to get better, but until the Red Sox change their approach the status quo will continue.🙈🤭
  11. Well said. Some on here think it would just be an easy peasy move for Raffy to move to 1B. It may, and it may not, and who knows if he wants to, and if not his psyche may get rattled. Footwork is a big thing, which Casas still has trouble with. I remember a picture in the Globe that showed Casas stretching, and leaning forward for a throw that went sailing over his head. At the moment Raffy is the Red Sox 3B bad D, and all.
  12. Why does some on here think Masa is in high demand out there for the same reasons that you want the Red Sox to get rid of him?🙈
  13. No, but the need does, and also the cost of going out, and buying a good starting pitcher on the open market, which I can’t see JH giving the OK to do.
  14. Agent Bell you do present a good case.
  15. I know. Make believe is more fun. Also I’m thinking the Red Sox front office was well aware of what Sale was doing every time he took the mound.
  16. The Sept lumber slumber made things look worse too. Raffy should also be better.
  17. Best player for one year does not make him the teams best player IMO.
  18. Agree, but pitching is what they need the most.
  19. Who said there was a guaranteed replacement? Sounds like you’re stretching things a bit. I said replacement, and who’s to say Duran is guaranteed to do it again? One better than good year does not make him the next big Super Star. If he becomes one then great.
  20. Exactly! The Red Sox would be trading, because of a surplus rather it’s an IF, or an OF. It has NOTHING to do with trying to shed any salary.
  21. Maybe he’s peaked, and he might get even better, and only time will tell that. The Red Sox have a surplus of LHH, and they have replacements for Duran, so I don’t see how moving him would be a small market move just like if they traded Casas, or Anthony, or Mayer. Pitching is needed, and you have to give up something good to get something good.
