    All I did was point out that the plan that Bres ended up with was not the plan he wanted in the beginning, and as I said at the time we’ll have to see how it all works out. Of course you will analyze every letter of every word, and put your little spin on it like you did when you questioned a question mark. Besides I’ve already got a bowling shirt with the Bloom Bashers on it that has worked out quite well, and I don’t want to change now.

    Like I said before the winning streak most fans that I heard from, and heard wanted #12 out of town. Some of you guys crack me up how you hate the here, and now concept when things are going bad, but you hop all aboard when things are going good. The consistency of inconsistency.

    The Cards wanted to much? I think Bloom was pretty generous giving back money on both Gray, and Con Man, so I don’t buy any of that theory at all. Things have worked out for Bres pretty well for his pickups this offseason, but he’s no mastermind, and I think things worked out in spite of Bres, and not because of him. Swap in Alonso, and Bregman, and take out Con Man, Ranger, and DUBin, and what would you have now? Like I said in spite of Bres, and not, because of him.

    Good summation. Con Man came into play a couple of weeks after the Alonso offer was made.

    Really? You got proof of that??5 yr, and the money was set aside for Bregman, and that fell through the money, and 5 yrs went to Ranger instead. They wasn’t going to offer Alonso the same kind of money, and length too. Lowballing Alonso had nothing to do with Con Man at all except for the money, and length maybe. Once again this was all discussed in real time. You’re always trying to interject yourself, and always trying to play catch up.🙈👋

    It was widely reported that bringing Bregman back was the Red Sox top priority this past offseason. It was reported in length, and pretty much known by MOST people, so that sounds like a pretty good idea of what the plan was editor you I guess.🙈

    Huh? The Red Sox offered Alonso a contract first, and when he turned them down traded for Contreras a couple weeks after that, so you got it all wrong, and ass backwards. Come on man I thought you were better than that.🤔🤭🙈

    The Red Sox biggest problem when they were 14 under wasn’t getting runners on base, but driving them in. Hitting more homers changed that, and Rowdy Yates showed up.

    But he got infrequent bats to start the season trying to get everyone in the lineup.

    The first plan was resigning Bregman, and adding Alonso whom they made an offer to first. That didn’t work out, so they went with the Con Man. When Bregman went to the Cubs the Red Sox pivoted to Ranger, and then went cheap with DUBin. None of this was the plan at all. Getting another productive bat doesn’t change the performances you mentioned, but it would of helped offset it, and maybe the Red Sox wouldn’t have gotten to a low point of 14 under.

    I don’t think they kept Duran as a insurance policy, but more likely Bres was asking to much in return, and couldn’t deal him IMO.

    I agree, and IMO both Masa, and Duran got off to bad starts being in, and out of the lineup. At the very least it didn’t help.
