  1. Things usually have a way of working themselves out, but yes outside of injury this looks like a different case.
  2. I would tend to agree on that as it stands now. Even a healthy Casas isn’t a good fit if an OF is going to rotate through the DH spot.
  3. They stuck him at 2B to start last season, but still had him playing some OF, which I don’t think helped him at all especially with him being so young, and inexperienced.
  4. I don’t think Masa will get a roster spot just, because if he can’t get sent down.
  5. He had a chance last year at 2B, but he not a 2B. He’s not the RAF Man who can move from OF to IF like he did playing a lot of SS one year. Some guys can handle moving around, but I don’t think KC is one of them, so I disagree 100% that KC will eventually get a roster spot, because he can move around. Either he hits or he doesn’t.
  6. Especially not now. I keep hearing how the Red Sox have four outfielders, but Abreu hasn’t proven he can be full time yet, and a RHB may be needed, which Masa is not.
  7. The Red Sox didn’t help matters either by trying to make Campbell into a super utility guy who co could play all over the field, because that’s how things are done.
  8. Huh? Masa was signed at the time, because the Red Sox were in need of outfielders, and Bloom for some reason thought Masa would be a good fit. He wasn’t, and isn’t a good fit now. I don’t know how this all ends up, but if he’s on the opening 26 with the Red Sox it more about that $18M contract than anything else.
  9. Campbell is still a Suspect with a contract extension who needs more time in AAA.
  10. Agree 100%. Having a backup DH only taking up a bench spot isn’t what’s best for the team.
  11. But he didn’t even swing a bat at for quite awhile anywhere.
  12. Casas sure hasn’t proven he can stay healthy, and he hasn’t proven he can be a great hitter let alone a 30+ HR hitter. All wishful thinking there. A slow starter, and now he doesn’t have the luxury to get that chance anymore.
  13. All I know was he was good enough to DH in ST.
  14. The RED Sox used the ruse that Masa had to get his arm in shape to play the OF, and shipped him off to parts unknown, and wouldn’t even let him bat at Woo, or anywhere else when he was healthy enough to DH from the Red Sox on opening day, but oops Raffy was there last year. It would be great if Masa would go to Woo to begin the season, but I don’t see that happening. Being a backup DH on the bench isn’t a good fit either.
  15. I don’t know what kind of label Casas deserves. He’s had one full season where he hit 24 with 65 RBI. To me he’s still a work in progress who has to prove first of all he can stay on the field. Like Mayer Casas has lost a lot of AB the last 3 years due to injuries. He could go either way, but if some want to call him mediocre I see nothing wrong with that. It’s not going to hurt, or help either way.
  16. I’ve followed your logic right from the very beginning and it wasn’t that hard to do. Of course if you over analyze things it will go right over your head, which it seems that it has for some.🤔
  17. I agree on Song especially being a ex Navy guy.
  18. Way too many moves unnecessarily. Once again Cora didn’t see it that way, and just like now when Cora said Story is THE SS.
  19. And none of it happened. Cora must be such a bad manager, because he very RARELY does any of your suggestions. Like it, or not, or for better, or worse team seniority has meaning in most cases like it, or not.
  20. Tovar, and Campy were good athletes, and could do things like that, but not all are. I heard one poster on here say that, because Mookie has moved around to different positions that Raffy should have done the same thing like Raffy is the same athlete as Mookie is. Not even close there on who’s a lot better athlete, and a bad comparison to boot.
  21. The more you move EVERYDAY players around doesn’t necessarily mean at all that it makes the team a better team just, because that’s the way it’s done more today.
  22. Cora sticks guys where they are needed first and foremost like with Anthony in RF last year, and Mayer at 3B last year, and RAF Man at SS the year before.
  23. I don’t think Anthony plays CF over Duran, and NO I wouldn’t.
