  1. Yes you’ve thrown up Sean Murphy, and his contract.🤭
  2. Either way it goes nothing is stopping him from resigning with the Red Sox. If you trade him you have to replace him, which isn’t so easy to do. The Red Sox lucked out with Chapman who wasn’t signed to be the closer in the first place, and nothing more than a BP piece.
  3. Well he didn’t walk after last year, so I see no evidence he would do it after this year. Pure speculation either way at best.
  4. You keep thinking there’s going to be more money out there.🤔
  5. That’s the way the contract reads. Pretty straightforward.
  6. To much worrying about this, and worrying about that. He did get 20 million this year after the year he had last year, so it’s far from a certainty he would get that next year.
  7. Either way he can still sign back with Boston if he wants too. The Yankees traded him one year, and signed him back the next. That could happen too.
  8. I not assuming either way, and there is still games to be played this year before a decision has to be made on trading him, or not.
  9. He was a free agent after last year. Also I’m fully aware of his contract, but like I said he was a FA last offseason, and signed back with Boston.
  10. Why would you assume the Red Sox would lose Chapman at all. Did they lose him this past offseason?🤔
  11. I agree, and there is still a lot of games to be played, and time before the Red Sox have to make that decision. Either way he’s at least a keeper though 2027, and if traded he’d have to be replaced as will anyone like Chapman if traded.
  12. Masa, Masa Man. I want to see more Masa Man. Batting leadoff today. Oh no! No Gasper.
  13. NOBODY said anything about giving Bogey the contract that SD ended up giving him. I’ve said all along that DD should have given Bogey a better contract way back when, which would would have been 6 years without the opt outs, and that contract would have been up by now. The Red Sox were always a day late, and a dollar short all the way through with Mookie too, and if had acted sooner way back when it wouldn’t have been anywhere near the contract the Dodgers ended up giving him.
  14. Yes he’s been hitting the ball better in June, and had 2HR in one game. All good.👏
  15. I’m just saying that you can’t just look at what Raffy has done since he left Boston, and just assume that would translate to the exact same numbers if he had stayed in Boston, because of the things I mentioned like mindset, effort, and atmosphere. I’m not arguing against any numbers he has put up in SF.
  16. When you can measure effort, and mindset, because of atmosphere let me know. Don’t believe in data, or doesn’t care about data? BIG difference. As I’ve said 100’s of times the only stats I care about are actual stats that show up on the scoreboard in real time. That’s what works for me. You guys can go nuts with all the other stuff all you want.
  17. Can any of these things measure atmosphere? Can any of these things measure mindset? Can any of these things measure effort, because of the atmosphere, and mindset, and if they can’t how can you say that Raffy would have the exact same stats if he had stayed in Boston than what he’s accomplished in SF?
  18. Gasper for better, or for worse is definitely getting a long look.
  19. Probably drew the lineup out of a hat. At least everyone is above .200 now.👏
  20. Huh? Nice try, but it’s nothing but fantasy speculation that you can’t measure what stats Raffy would have put up with the Red Sox based on what he did with SF of course leaving out the things I mentioned that CANNOT be measured, and you don’t have to be any kind of genius to understand that. NO MATHEMATICAL input can measure the things I mentioned that you obviously don’t understand.👋
  21. You guys think you can measure anything, and you can’t. You can’t measure mindset. You can’t measure effort, and you can’t measure atmosphere. Trying to comp exactly what he did with SF to being the same thing in Boston is completely fruitless, and useless, because of what I mentioned IMO.
  22. Huh? I t would be completely different atmosphere, and circumstances that NOTHING you can up with could measure. Translating means diddly squat.
