    No I said he’s HAD his shot at 2B. You said he still might have a shot at 2B. Two entirely different things, and that’s why I disagreed.🤭

    I agree if all are going to get AB, but with one of the OF being the DH where is Masa going to get AB from? There are only 2 bench spots open, and only 1 with Romy, so just carrying Masa as a BACKUP DH just doesn’t make roster sense. Of course the $18M owed may make it more so.

    Disagree on KC at 2B. He had his shot there at least for the foreseeable future.

    It wasn’t just the 150 PA poor stretch, but the fact also that he didn’t work his way back up to Boston, which also was telling. He’s got a long way to go to be a very good hitter let alone a great one. Still suspect, and still a work in progress.

    I agree on hope that he becomes an impactful everyday player, but he’s still a suspect who might have been set back a year by rushing him last year, and bouncing all around the field trying to find a position for him. He’s still a work in progress and needs more time in Woo.

    Haters is a pretty strong word. I have no problem with Masa if he is the full time DH. What I have a problem with is if Masa is taking up a roster spot as a backup DH.

    Romy could still DH depending on what they do there, and if Abreu plays full time.

    I agree. Campbell is still a suspect who needs regular playing time, and more time in Woo is more beneficial right now IMO.

    Who met Lester out it the parking lot? Yes it was JH, and that offer was all on JH. It didn’t matter then who the GM/HOBO was, and it doesn’t matter now the money is all on JH, so JH was relevant then, JH was relevant with Mookie, and JH is relevant now. Fred nailed it again.👏

    I not so sure about that. The Red Sox might of wanted Marte, but the price in terms of pieces, or money was out from what they wanted to pay, and that’s why the Red Sox Settled on the Much cheaper option In Durbin.

    Either way having Masa on the roster, or not is not going to make, or break the Red Sox season. If he was going to get regular AB I’d agree with you about keeping him, but I don’t see it, and if not he’s just clogging up a roster spot, and I mean clogging up.

    Every game counts once the season starts whether it’s in March, April, or any other time.

    The rush is right now. Where is Masa going to get AB if he’s on the roster as it stands now? There are only 2 bench spots open, and someone who as it stands now being only a Backup DH shouldn’t get one of them IMO. Eaton can play multiple positions, which Masa can’t do, and especially if Romy is out most likely would get more chances than Masa will get. Not being able to undue the loss of Masa is not even a minor concern to me.

    I get that, but I was just saying that an injury, or two could change the need for another IF that isn’t there now.

    Especially if Chapman doesn’t come close to what he was last year, and, or Whit, or Slaten goes down.

    I agree especially since there isn’t the need there was before the Durbin trade. Of course an injury, or two could change all of that.
