  1. Did Cora have any concerns about playing Anthony playing RF when he came up last year? NO! 🤭
  2. Cora just likes playing musical chairs. Just like he doesn’t know where Durbin is playing yet. An emergency where Duran would be needed to play RF would be Abreu, Anthony, and, RAF Man all out. I also don’t think it has anything to do with putting Duran in a shorter field. Cora doesn’t get that technical like you do. Example Arroyo in RF.
  3. Mayer finally makes an appearance, and The Butterfly Man gets more time in RF. Interesting.
  4. Duran is Still a work in progress playing the outfield. Playing less time out there won’t help that any.
  5. I was one who said to trade him after the 2024 season for some pitching where most likely his value would have been as good as it’s going to get. Good player, but as I keep saying i don’t see any extensions coming his way from the Red Sox.
  6. Duran turns 30 in SEPTEMBER, and I just don’t see any extension coming from the Red Sox. Abreu turned down an extension in 2024, so I don’t know if the Red Sox have tried since. Nothing on any extension for Mayer’s at this point either.
  7. Good player at times, but i wouldn’t go so far as to call him great.
  8. I think how KC develops could be a determining factor also.
  9. Agree, and I don’t even expect to see Duran finish out his controlled years in a Red Sox uniform.
  10. Great instagram post yesterday by Alex Bregman showing him, and Raffy shaking hands of course not in Red Sox uniforms, but don’t fret the Red Sox got the steal of the century in Durbin.🤫
  11. Yes agreeing with MVP on Duran.
  12. I wouldn’t even give the Butterfly Man a net let alone extend him.🤭
  13. I agree on Duran, but the Red Sox have less of a chance landing Skubal than they did landing the Yam Man, which was 0%. Not a worry at all to me.🤫
  14. Agree on Skubal, and it’s not even a pipe dream once he hits FA. NO on Duran. I don’t see any extension in his Red Sox future.
  15. Welcome to the 70 club.
  16. Yes that gaping hole in the middle of the order was not addressed. Con Man will most likely give you more production at 1B than what the Red Sox had last year, but not what Alonso would most likely give, or Schwaber for that matter. Less production at 3B also.
  17. I agree. Durbin may be a good little player, but he’s no Bregman with the glove, or the bat, and as you said Bregman was the team leader. What the Red Sox basically did was trade Bregman for Durbin, and Ranger. Mayer is still a SUSPECT, so play on the field will tell if things as they ended up will work out. It could go either way.
  18. I think right now the Red Sox are better off that Story didn’t opt out, and will be the SS. Mayer hasn’t proven he’s an everyday player yet let alone an everyday SS where he didn’t even play many games at last year.
  19. If Masa was to spend any time in LF I think the Red Sox would have to be in desperate need due to injuries. I don’t know what the plans the Red Sox have for Masa, but I don’t see him having a roster spot unless he’s getting frequent AB.
  20. Why does it bother you so much what other fans say, and think? Way, way over the top. If some want to criticize, and be negative, or call JH cheap that’s their prerogative, and there is nothing wrong with that despite what you like, or think about it.
  21. Hypercriticism, and negativism? Wow! Most fans that I know of only care about their own team, and what they do, and don’t do, and don’t critique what other teams do, or don’t do. You can worry about what to hell all the other teams have done, and didn’t do, but that doesn’t change the so called microscope the Red Sox are put under by their fans, and nor do I think there is anything wrong with that at all. If it bothers you, and evidently it does, because you’ve mentioned it more than once then so be it. Poor, poor Red Sox how will they be able to hold up, and win under so much pressure from your SO CALLED negativism, and hypercriticism. Unbelievable.🙈
  22. Yes you’ve heard my point, and reasoning many times after all the times you’ve whined, and cried how the Red Sox have to play in the Big Bad AL East, so we agree on that. Kind of Chicken-little. 🤓
  23. I agree, but that’s Cora’s way with the younger guys.
  24. I agree, but Mayer’s has to prove he can stay healthy first, and then be able to hit LHP.
  25. I like the way they did it last year with the Yankees getting all the games in NY. Makes having the better record mean something.
